I loved this book too, and I actually want to re-read it because my book club brought up so many interesting points that I feel I need to revisit it.

I honestly don't know what I missed in this book that others see, but I just didn't get it.

Ellen, when I wrote my less favored review, there were plenty that saw it just as I did. Interesting how Olive Kitteridge too, by the same author, also was such a mixed bag of reviews. I hated it personally. I also hated Life After Life, and the Time Travelers Wife. I wonder how you and I compare in terms of taste. Are we friends? Maybe we should be.

Yes, we are friends Amy. It looks like our tastes are 69% similar in books that we have both rated. The most glaring point of divergence is on my favorite book of all time - "Plainsong" which you gave 2 stars. But, that's ok, I'm still your friend. : )
