Removing duplicate lists?

There are currently three separate and identical lists for the Booker Longlist 2016, only one of which has multiple votes. It would be nice to get the two duplicates tidied away before other people start voting on them, but not sure what current practice is on this.

A "merge lists" function is badly needed for things like this, but can imagine it would be difficult-to-impossible to code.
Though what could be much easier to implement would be an equivalent of this, which appears when a user starts to add a book:"The book you are adding may already exist in our database. If it appears below, please use that edition instead of adding a new one."
The last one you linked to is frozen. A lot of people hate frozen lists and don't ever bother voting on them. I think (?) only one voter will show up (the creator of the list?) even though multiple users may have participated in the list?
I am sorry to trouble you. My question is about list. There are two versions of my book a Smile in One Eye - kindle and softcover. The book is showing up separately on several lists and I am not sure what to do. The problem may have something to do with the title as there is a difference in the file which never realized had not been resolved - one version carries the subtitle in the title a Smile in One Eye: a Tear in the Other. I am not sure what I should/can do. Thanks for any and old help. A Smile in One Eye

I assumed that static list was made static by a superlibrarian in lieu of merging or deleting it. There really needs to be a better policy to avoid this sort of duplication. (The duplicates really should be deleted as soon as possible but it seems this no longer goes on.) People wouldn't know where to vote. (I'm not voting on any of these because there are so many, but I would have if there was one, or maybe there were two with one clearly being used a lot more.)
If a standard librarian removed a duplicate list like this (not a list with no other votes the librarian had themselves created, but one made by another user) would it be contrary to policy / the sort of thing one could lose librarian status over? Still not clear from the thread whether I should/could have just got on with it in the first place, or whether it was supposed to be posted on here.
