Actually as far as i can see, i have to disagree, some people do think of other people's interests, but some don't. But then again, i am a human, i could be wrong.

I agree. Even when we help others, we do it for "self satisfaction" or some other "selfish motive" and I believe that's just basic human nature

Hmm, in that way, it is true, but its pretty complicated. So, i think this is one thing i haven't really thought about much.
