Sometimes we let outward appearances deceive us only to find out later that what’s shiny and attractive on the outside is dull and worthless on the inside. All that glitters isn’t gold and the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. If you look closely before you take that leap, you might realize that the lawn you are envying is being fertilized with bullshit.

Synopsis

Sometimes puppy love is so intense it can be mistaken for the real thing. After being with her high school sweetheart for five years, Mona is starting to question if what she feels for Dre is real love or just blind affection. She finds herself envying her best friend Tasha’s relationship with Shaun, who to Mona, seems like the perfect man. Whenever she is around them she finds the green-eyed monster trying to rear its ugly head and jealousy and envy become her first and last name. Mona doesn’t realize that everything that’s shiny isn’t always going to be gold. She sees all the luxuries he bestows upon Tasha and often wishes that she was in her shoes. Well, like the saying goes you should be careful what you wish for; you just might receive it.

Dre is head over heels in love with Mona and does his best to satisfy her, but his best just isn’t good enough anymore. Bored of him, their relationship, and the predictable sex she finds herself peeking over the fence at what looks like greener grass. Giving into temptation she decides to leap across to the other side. Will she find the grass was as green and lush as it appeared? Or will she learn that you can’t find happiness in the yards of others?
