Dario Tenorio | 4 comments Hello:
I thought the book’s name was “Hell Fire, by Stephen King”, I guess I’m wrong. It’s about a young girl named Beth (I guess I’m wrong too). She’s evil. I remember she made someone fall off a big ladder.
I read it in high school, in 86 or 87.

David Brown (r2drivenimpala) | 70 comments Stephen King wrote a book Firestarter about a girl named Charlie who could start fires with her mind. It's been a long time since I've read it, so I don't remember if she made anyone fall off a ladder.

Thank you for your reply.
That’s not the book I’m looking for. I saw the movie of the book you talking about.

I’m pretty sure, Beth (I’m not even sure that was her name) did not have any special powers.

Thanks again.

Kimber (kimberlibri) | 158 comments IMO Back in the Eighties there were basically four authors of horror. King, Koontz, Straub and Saul. King didn't write a book called Hellfire but John Saul did - Hellfire with a character named Beth, an 11 year old girl. I"m betting that's it 99% but if not Straub wrote The Hellfire Club as well. If it isn't one of those two I would check other books by Saul and Koontz.

Thank you very much.
I’m pretty sure that’s the one.
I’m buying it right now (Play Store). I’ll let you know if you were right.
Thanks again.

Glad you found your book, Dario.

I moved your request to a Solved folder. This is done by clicking "edit" beside your topic header, using the desktop (not mobile) website.
