SOLVED. YA book taking place in US and Hobart, Tasmania [s]

This is driving me crazy! I read a YA / Romance novel about a year ago. I can only remember some vague details about the plot. It was about an American girl in college, meeting an Australian guy, something about a party at a beach house and the two of them going to Hobart, Tasmania near the end to stay in an older house with a relative. That's all I can remember! And the fact that there was going to be a sequel to this. I know, very few details to work with, but is there anyone out there who remembers reading this book and knows the title?
