Michael and Jason both walked into the kitchen. They were a lot alike in looks and how they did thingsClaire leaned back in her seat as some of the others started talking
She smiled a bit more at all the boys. They all did look similar. Ryder had blond hair like Jason, and they all had the same, sparkling eyes. She felt like an outcast among them.Carson had always been the social one. He loved talking and interacting with people. He indulged conversation with everyone. And since he was quite funny/charming, everyone listened to him eagerly.
Michael smiled over at her and kissed her cheek softly. Jason smile over at them and then rummaged around in the fridge for something to eat. Claire smiled a little as she listened to Carson. She was the quiet one in her family so letting someone else be in the spotlight instead of her
Skylar finished feeding Ryder and sat him on the chair next to his dad and uncle. She sat on the counter, wondering when the parents would be home.. She had told them they were coming so she found it odd that they left right then..Carson laughed a little, he had a flirtatious tone when he talked to girls anyway, and he was generally very likable. He continued to talk about a funny incident that took place in his work life.
Michael looked over at Ryder and then at Skylar. "Hey Jace, when did mom and dad say they would be back?" He asked. Jason shrugged," Who knows.. Mom got this huge idea of making you your favorite dinner and dragged dad with her so he wouldn't pick a fight with you while she wasn't here." Michael frowned," What did I ever do to make him so mad at me?" Jace shrugged.Claire giggled softly with some of the other girls. She didn't normally see this side of him and it made her laugh
Skylar held Ryder's hands as she sat on the counter, so that he wouldn't fall. She looked at the boys as they talked, nodding a little. She smiled comfortingly at Michael. "He's not mad at you, I'm sure..."He wasn't like this when he was alone, but was more cheerful and charismatic when other people were around to witness it. He sighed and leaned back, giving others the chance to speak.
Michael put his hand on Ryder's back to help steady him. He shrugged a little," He just finds something to criticize me about.. Like not raising Ryder right or something like that." He said looking over at Skylar. Jason leaned against the counter," I don't think he's mad at you he just wants you to he just like him." Claire leaned back and listened as others started talking about other things and stories. She glanced over at Carson but then turned to Sarah as she started talking to her
"Aww, Michael, you know you're doing your best. It's okay." Skylar said then looked at Jason. "Maybe.. But Michael is trying. He's always away from home because of the choice he made because of him. I guess you were lucky to get away, and still be the favorite." she joked and kissed Michael's cheek. "He's coming, it'll work out."He listened for a moment before getting up, checking the rest of the tour schedule. They were to be back on the tour bus in about fifteen minutes.
Jason snorted at Skylar's comment," Right like I'm the favorite.. You should see him when I just come over." Michael laughed," But you fight back I don't.. Well not like you do." He looked over at his wife," I'll get over it.. Sometime." She watched him get up but didn't move just yet as she was talking to Sarah
"Come on, guys. It'll all work itself out. Just hear the old man out. Don't worry too much." she said, trying to comfort the two. He read some of the pamphlets that were given before walking towards the tour guide, having a little chat with her.
Both Michael and Jason looked at her and nodded," Yeah we know." Jason said quietly, "Thanks for trying to make us feel better." He said putting his arm around his sister in law. Michael looked at them," Jace you'll take care of them while I'm gone right?" He asked. Jace nodded," Anything for you little brother."Claire laughed with Sarah as they headed back towards the bus so they could go to their next stop
She slipped his arm around him, in a soothing way. "I'm here for you guys." she assured. She smiled and rolled her eyes "As if I can't take care of myself and Ryder on my own."he looked back, seeing Claire then continued talking to the flirty tour guide.
Jason chuckled softly and hugged her, "I'm sure you can." He said looking at his younger brother. Michael grinned a little, "I know you can but still." He said as the garage opened Claire went onto the bus passing Carson as she did
She hugged him lightly before letting go. She held Ryder close. "I think they're here."he looked at her for a moment and got on too.
Jason moved away from her a little, "Looks like they are." He muttered. Their mom walked in, " I was hoping we would get done before you guys came over." She said walking around the counter to hug ryder, Michael, and Skylar.She sat down with Sarah again
Skylar smiled a little before going to greet her. "Hey, it's okay." she went to her with Ryder.he sat with Guilianna and the tour guide.
Justine smiled at Skylar," Well I'm glad you guys are here and safe." She said taking her grandson from herSarah and Claire both talked quietly together
She smiled and handed Ryder over. "Ryder, say hello to grandma." she said. He cane into her arms, looking at the vaguely familiar face. "Hello.." he said shyly. Sky looked over at the others.Guiliana was keen on making plans with him later, after the tour.
Justine smiled at the little boy," Hello sweetheart... You don't remember me do you?" She asked. Michael walked over to them," Hi mom." He said kissing her cheek gently. Claire and Sarah were planning to meet later for dinner
Ryder nodded slowly. "Remember, grammaaaa!" he said then saw his grandfather and waved at him too.He talked quietly to the tour guide and Giuliana. They reached their next stop. Some other Italian museum type thing.
Justine smiled," Good thing you do or I wouldn't let you have any ice cream." Se said with a smile. Gavin walked over to them," Hello Ryder." He said Michael nodded at him father while Jason went outside to bring everything else inClaire looked up when they stopped again
"Ice creeeaaam?" he looked around. He loved his ice cream. Skylar looked at Ryder again. "Say hi to grandpa." Ryder looked at Gavin again and gave a sheepish smile. "Hi..."He got out with the others, smiling.
Justine nodded," Yes honey." She said with a smile. Gavin smiled a little at Ryder," hey buddy." Michael looked over at Skylar and Justine said," How have you and Michael been?" Claire walked out and looked around
Skylar smiled sweetly at her. "We've been great, really. What about you guys?" she looked at the two in laws. Ryder smiled at him, "Looks like daddy!" he said to his grandpa.He grabbed a brochure and walked with Giulianna, snickering at something along the way.
Justine nodded, "That's good. We have been fine just redid the backyard." She replied. Michael laughed softly at Ryder's comment. Gavin nodded with a smile, " Of course I look like your daddy." He said reaching to take him from Justine.Sarah looked over at the other two and then back at Claire as they walked the other way
Skylar watched her son carefully with a small smile at her lips. "That's great." she said. "I'll be sure to check it out." she said then glanced back at Michael. "Why?" Ryder asked, with an innocent look on his face as he was transferred into his grandfather's arms.
he gave Sarah a curious look when she looked back at them, then continued the tour with his friend.
Justine nodded, "You should.. I'm sure Ryder would like it." She said with a smile. Michael laughed, "Because Ry he's my dad." He explained to his son.Claire shook her head a little and continued walking eith Sarah
Skylar nodded "I'm sure he will." she agreed. She smirked at Ryder and the others. Ryder looked confused for a moment before saying "Oh-Kay." he looked around "I look like?" he asked Gavin.They joined the rest of the group soon, just getting to know each other more.
Jason came up behind them, "He better since I helped." He replied with a grin just like Michael's. Gavin laughed softly, "You look like your dad.'A few of the other guys on the tour had taken an interest in Claire and Sarah and they were all laughing and talking to each other.
He looked at his dad for a moment, thinking. "But dadddy haves black hair. I don't!" he looked confused again.Skylar looked back at Jason. "Oh you helped, then it's probably crap." she said quietly to him, obviously joking.
Carson didn't really notice them at first, he was just talking to Giulianna and the two were actually paying attention and taking interest in the tour.
Gavin chuckled softly, "That's true but your mommy has hair like yours." He said trying to explain. Michael laughed softly.Jason pretended to look hurt, "I cannot believe you would think such a thing."
Claire giggled softly before turning her attention back at the tour.
Skylar smiled and kissed Ryder's head. "Don't worry about it baby." she told Ryder. "You'll understand why we look like our mommies and daddies when you grow up." Ryder sighed heavily. "Fiiine, mommy."
Skylar looked back at Jason and smirked "Better believe it."
After a while there was another break.
Michael laughed softly," You'll see when you get bigger. Right now you kind of look like your uncle Jace." Jason grinned a little," Sure I do." He said looking over at his sister in law
She went to sit with someof the people she had just met
Ryder was still confused "Uncle is daddy?" he asked, then hid his face in Gavin's shoulder, frustrated.Skylar smirked at him then rolled her eyes, "Oh, Ryder..."
Carson looked around with his travelling buddy.
Michael laughed softly," I think we have confused little man." Gavin hugged the little boy close," It's alright you will understand later." Jason grinned a little watching them.Claire and Sarah walked around and Claire pulled her camera out to take pictures
Ryder stayed hidden. Skylar smiled widely, she didn't know that Gavin was that interested in Ryder. She always thought he hated that they had a kid so early.he spotted her after a while and went up to her "Oh, am I disturbing something..."
Michael looked over at Skylar and then back at his dad and Ryder. He grinned a little as Gavin continued to hold Ryder. She looked over at him and shook her head," No I'm just taking pictures." She replied
Skylar smiled a bit more before looking back at Michael and Justine and Jason, wondering what to do next."I see... so have I been replaced now?" he joked looking at Sarah from afar.
Gavin walked over to the back door with Ryder," Do you want to see what grandpa and uncle Jace built?" He asked. Michael slipped his arm around Skylar Jason looked over at them," We can all go see it later." He muttered softly
She laughed," No you haven't been replaced yet." She said turning to him and snapping a picture
Sky folded her arms and leaned on her husband. She nodded over at Jason. "Yeah, later. So do you guys wanna do anything for now?" she wondered.Ryder peeked up when he started moving. He looked around. "What build?" he asked and looked outside. "Plaaaay outsideeee!"
He blinked at the flash and rolled his eyes. "Yet?!" he smirked, poking her side.
Michael rested his cheek on her head as he listened to Ryder talking to his dad. Jason shrugged," I don't know." Justine looked at all of them," Why don't you all go relax outside while I make dinner?" She suggested. Gavin chuckled softly," we built a tree house and swing set.... And yes we can play outside." He said opening the door.Claire smiled," I thought you were replacing me." She teased back laughing when he poked her
Skylar smiled peacefully, wrapping an arm around Michael. "You guys should go relax, I can help with dinner if you want." She offered Justine. "It's not a problem." Ryder's eyes widened. "For meeeee?" he asked, trying to reach out to the swing set.
"I am," he teased. "I'm now shifting Giulianna with me to our hotel room."
Justine shook her head," Oh no you are going with them if I have to get Michael and Jason to carry you out there." She replied with a laugh. Jason laughed outright and Michael silently laughed looking over at his mother. Gavin nodded," Yes for you." He said opening the door and putting Ryder on his feet. Claire pretended to look hurt," I cannot believe you would do such a thing." She said playing along with him.
Skylar smiled, rolling her eyes. "Seriously? I can help, though!" she argued.Ryder started running about the place instantly, he ran to the swing set, trying to get on.
"Yeah, well Italian girls, y'know.." he smirked.
Justine laughed softly," I know but I want to do this.. You can help tomorrow." She answered looking over at Michael and Jason. Michael grinned," I'd listen to her cuz if you don't and Jace and I don't get you out of here dad will come and get all of us." Jason laughed," Right with his little side kick we'd be in trouble." Gavin chuckled and followed after Ryder and helped him onto the swing.She rolled her eyes an shook her head," I guess I'll just have to believe you on that one." She replied
Skylar laughed "Alright, fine." She said shaking her head. She held his hand. "Let's go." she said leading them outside."Grampaa don't fall me!" he said, tightly hanging onto the sides of the swing.
"Hmmmm, okay." he said watching her.
Michael chuckled softly as followed her out. Justine laughed," Have fun." She called. Jason walked out," Oh we'll try to momma." He said. Gavin held onto him," I won't let you fall." He said Claire looked over at him and smiled just a little
"Okaaay" ryder said and waited for him to swing him. Skylar looked over at them.He smirked and sat down with her.
Gavin gently pushed the little boy. Michael sat down on the couch and pulled Skylar with him. Jason flopped into one of the deck chairsShe smile a little more and looked around again
he sat down with them with her.
