"You rescued a dog." She told him. "She was beaten and dying on the street and you carried her ten blocks to the vet." She explained. "That's why you were covered in blood."

He blinked, not completely believing it at first. "What?" He asked.
"It's true." She said. "The vet you met with came to your aunts house with the dog, thinking you'd want to know that she's okay."
Elian grinned, "I didn't hurt anyone." He said and looked to his aunt.
He hugged her tightly and his aunt smiled at him. "I'm proud of you, Eli." She said.
"I told you you didn't hurt anyone." She kissed his cheek.
Elian nodded, "yeh, you did tell me." He said and kissed her softly. He said."Lets get out of here," Rebecca smiled.
She kisses him back with a smile."You still might have to testify in trial," the detective said. "But I think with the evidence we have, you'll be okay."
Elian nodded, "thats fair enough." He said and followed his aunt out, holding onto Natalia tightly.
Natalia smiled and walked out with them.
Elian hugged her tightly, not really paying attention where he was going.
She led them to her car, unlocking it.
Rebecca got into the back so that Elian could sit with Natalia.Elian smiled gratefully at his aunt before he sat in front.
Natalia got behind the wheel and took Elian's hand, squeezing it.
"Wait, where's Milly? Katy's at school," he said and looked between the two.
"The vet Margaret is watching her." Natalia assured. She drove to his aunts place.
"Oh, okay," he said softly as he sat back.
A few minutes later, she parked in front of the house.
"I'm going to go say hi," he said. "Coming?" He asked:
Natalia nodded and got out, locking her car once everyone was out.
Rebecca got down and unlocked the house. Elian got down.

Natalia blushed, leaning into him. "You were only gone a few hours but it felt like weeks." She admitted.
"Did anyone hurt you in there?" She asked.
Elian shook his head, "no, no one hurt me." He promised.
He smiled at her. "Do you want me to drive for you?" He asked.
"No it's okay." She parked in front of Rebecca's house.
"Okay," Elian said and then got down when she parked.
She turned her car off and got out.

Rebecca unlocked and stepped inside, holding the door open tor her to come in.
Natalia stepped in with Elian,"Daddy!" Amelia ran up to him.
Elian picked her up and hugged her tightly. "Hi!" He said, smiling.
Amelia giggled and wiggles out of his arms so she could stand on the floor."Hello Elian." Maggie said. Sally ran up to him, barking.
Elian smiled, "hey," he said and looked down at Sally. He started to rub her head. "Is this her?" He asked
"It is." She smiled. "She remembers you."
He smiled and then tilted his head to the side, "I remember her...." he said, trailing off.
