“What?” She looked over at him.

“You’re looking at me.”she laughed.
“Just making sure you’re okay,” he smiled.
“No I’m doing absolutely terrible.” She grinned.
She giggled and looked out the window.
She grabbed her purse and got out.
He met her at the front. “I have to warn you, its a complete mess,” he said.
“I’ll fit right in then.” She smirked.
He put an arm around her shoulders and kissed her head before leading her into the building.
He grabbed his keys from his pocket and got onto the elevator.
When they were at the apartment, “last chance,” he said to her.
“Oh shut up.” She playfully pushed him.
He laughed softly and unlocked, pushing it open. Like he’d told her, it was a complete mess, clothes everywhere, food on the ground and guns scattered all across the living space. He looked around, embarrassed.
She didn’t pay much attention to the mess as she stepped in. She put her bag by the door
“Well, this is it,” he explained, walking in after her.
“Why do you leave it like this?” She asked curiously.
He shrugged, “at some point I got too busy to clean up and then it all piled up now I’m just too lazy,” he laughed lightly.
He smiled at her giggle, “I think I might have beer. Want some?” He asked.
He went to the kitchen and came back with a beer. He handed her one and took a gulp from his own.
She nodded her thanks and took a swig.
“You should get a storing unit for those.” She said.
He shrugged, “never thought about it.” He said as he put them away i their packages. “I think I’m going to sell them,” he admitted. “Maybe keep one or two.”
“I never wanted to be a hunter,” he said. “But after my brother died, I never had a reason to stop. It’s all I lived for.”
“So you want to stop now?” She asked, turning to face him.
He carefully nodded, avoiding looking at her incase she got pissed.
He shrugged, “I don’t have a reason to keep doing it.”
“What was your reason before?” She challengd.
"Killing demons gave you life?" She raised an eyebrow.
“No,” he laughed a little. “I never wanted to be a hunter, I just didn’t have anything else to do. I don’t have a college degree and there’s not much you can do with a high school diploma.”
“It’s never too late to go back to school.” She said. “You’re still young.”
He shrugged, “maybe I will, I don’t know.”
"What would you study?" She asked.
“I’m not sure,” he said, sitting down on his couch. He moved some stuff of it so she could have space to sit, too.
SHe sat beside him. "I'd probably study history but I think that would be unfair." She said.
“Cause I lived through a lot of it.” She said.
“So I cant really credit myself in essays or anything.” She said.
“Oh, true,” he said. “What about philosophy? I have a feeling you’d be hood at it.”
