He pretended he didn’t notice as he slowly gathered his stuff.

“Lyra,” he said, lifting his eyes to her finally before he went over.((Skip or pm?))
((Skip cause I should be going to sleep LOOL))
He brushed his hand up and down her arm, staring at her skin.
She stared over at her window, at the city.
He kissed her back, near her shoulders, “you okay?”
She nodded, looking at him now. “I’m okay.” She assured.
“How was that for a happy birthday?” He teased lightly.
She smiled wide. “It was marvellous.” She purred,
“Good,” he said and stretched a little. “I should get going.”
He laid back and watched her for a sec. “Maddox is going to wonder where I am,” he sighed.
“Is he your mother or something?” She mumbled,
He snorted, “thankfully not,” he said.
She smiled and shrugged. “It’s up to you.”
“It’s your tune to share a story:” She turned to face him.
He watched her and then paused to think.
She reaches up and touched his leg for comfort,
((LOOOL this is a Supernatural reference))“I didn’t want to grow up to be a hunter,” he admitted. “I was raised by my brother, my mother was burned alivr and my father would be absent for days, months, trying to avenge her death. I was determined to end up normal, despite moving all the time. I was great in school so when I got a scholarship after graduation, I jumped on the next plane out and went to law school,” he explained.
((LOL THATS TOO GREAT))She nodded along. “School for what?” She asked.
“Law school,” he explained. “Before that, I fought with my dad and he said he never wanted to see me again and I said the same. Me and my brother were always close so he called every once and a while,” he said. “Around my second year, my brother comes to my apartment and my girlfriend at the time opens the door and lets him in with open arms. He’s my brother after all,” he sighed. “Anyway, he tells me dad’s on a business trip, for the family business, and he hasn’t been home in a while, expecting me to follow him and help him. I wouldn’t agree, dad kicked me out, after all.”
“Where’s your brother now?” She asked slowly.
“That’s a story for another time,” he said and stared up at the ceiling. “So I left with my brother for one day and came back that night, little to no progress. My brother was going to crash on the couch and so I go into my room and I find my girlfriend pinned to the ceiling, encompassed by flames and burning the same way my mother had burned all those years ago.” He said.
Her eyes widened. “What?” She sat up. “How....that’s not normal!”
He laughed bitterly, “yellow eyed demon, Azazel.”
She whistled. “He’s a dick.” She sighed.
He nodded, “she was perfectly normal, you know. Human,” he explained quietly and sighed lightly. “She didn’t deserve what she got,” he said. “She would’ve been better off without me.”
“Oh don’t say that.” She smacked his chest.
He caught her hand in his and kissed it gently before he kissed her lips.
She kissed him back softly. “You should be with a human girl.” She murmured. “Not a malicious demon.”
“It’s never too late. You’re still young.” She said.
He shrugged, “well, I don’t want a human girl.”
She rolled her eyes. “Archer, you cant be with me the way you can be with a human girl. I’m toxic.”
“You’re toxic? Try being a hunter,” he said.
“Try being a blood sucking demon who killed her own mother.” He hissed and stormed out of bed quickly.
He sat up, “Lyra.” He said and got out of bed.
She ignored him and went into the bathroom, closing the door.
He got out of bed and went to the bathroom door. He sighed, “Lyra come on.” He said softly.
“I thought you had to go. Your boyfriend is waiting.” She said.
“Lyra, come on,” he groaned lightly as he rested his head against the door.
She stayed silent, sitting on the counter. “It’s not locked.” She murmured.
“Oh,” he said and then opened the door and stepped in, closing it behind him.
She crossed her ankles and stared down at her lap.
