((How about she goes to the bar again and ends up sleeping with him and they sleep together multiple times until they fall in love before he finds out she’s a demon (assuming she might already know he’s a hunter because she saw him hunting?) and then have this love/hate relationship where they’re constantly protecting each other and sleep together but never actually admit that they love each other because they’re supposed to be enemies?))
((Ooh, maybe she spots him hunting and she decides she wants to screw with head and that’s why she sleeps with him?))
((Lololol Okay maybe while he’s hunting now, she goes out on a walk and then spots him with his equipment?))
Archer set out multiple traps, leaving them the deeper he walked into the woods. He also discreetly left marks on the trees he passed, just incase, even though he knew these woods like the back of his hand from years of trailing them, hunting.
Lyra was wrapping up here kill that night. She pushed the dude’s body into the nearby creak. She wiped her hands on her pants and turned when she heard noise. She has impeccable hearing, the noises coming from at least a mile away. She used her demon speed to make it there, diving up silently into a tree. She furrowed her brows and watched, eyeing the equipment.
Archer was still laying down traps. After a few moments, he hid behind a large tree, holding a gun in his hand. He had already lured one of them and he was supposed to get caught in a trap at any moment and if not, that was why he had his gun. He turned around to look at the trees behind him when they rustled.
She was easily disguised by the shadows. She was capable of blending into the dark to hunt her own prey. Although, she wasn’t hunting this time. She was only watching. She almost laughed at the old equipment he used.
He’d inherited most of it, the equipment. He was a descendant of one of the largest hunting families there was. Except, he was the last, thanks to demons hunting and picking them off one by one. After watching for a few moments, one of his traps went off. He aimed his gun at the figure and fired multiple demon killing bullets.
She watched with amusement. She could sense the lesser demons, aka the ones with an attention span like a gold fish. They were unable to manifest into a human like she could. Most looked up to her and followed her like a lost puppy. Maybe she was helping him bait them.
There was a scream and Archer hovered, waiting, just incase there were others out there with him. A few minutes later, he walked out towards the trap, continuing to fire at the figure until it disappeared into a puff of smoke.
He was there until dawn broke out, only managing to catch and kill about 3 demons. Then he went home, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to kill anything in daylight.
She spent the rest of the night brooding and drinking in her apartment. She then came up with the plan to drive him insane. SHe grinned evilly.
He got to his tiny apartment and crashed almost immediately, that was... after he had a drink. He was tired, he overworked himself most days and it was very rarely that he got some good sleep.
That night at the club, Lyra sauntered in wearing a tight dress and bright red heels. She smiled at the attention she immediately received.
Archer looked up when he saw some red in the corner of his eyes. For a second, he stopped what he was doing and stared at her, unable to take his eyes off her. “Fuck,” he whispered as he watched her. He quickly shook his head and turned away.
She strutted up to the bar and took a seat at the stool. The guys around her offered her a drink. She ignored them. “My regular please.” She said simply.
Archer moved to the other side of the bar, patting Max, the other bartender to go serve her while he took care of the beers on that side.
Archer came back to his side of the bar and went back to it, though he avoided her as much as he could. He didn’t like how she made him feel and He didn’t like being so distracted.
Archer looked up at her when she spoke. “How can I help you, sweetcheeks?” He asked, ignoring her previous statement as he finished serving another customer. He came over and leaned against the counter.
“From the bar,” he added, watching her and pretending to be completely unaffected by her attempts at flirtation. Except, in reality, he was shaking on the inside. It wasn’t like he hadn’t had girlfriends, he had. He just never met anyone so... anyone so... attention capturing.
“There’s an entire bar of guys and probably girls that would love to keep you company tonight,” he told her, wary.
“Maybe,” She said. “But I have my eyes on you.” Her eyes briefly flashed red, but it could be blamed on the disco lights.
He looked her over, his eyes lingering on her chest for a while before he said, “i have hours left before my shit ends and I have to lock up.”
He raised his eyebrows and then caught the red glow in her eyes. It was subtle but enough to put him on edge. Then he remembered that she’d been injured just a few nights ago. Demons healed almost instantly. He dismissed his thoughts. “Sure,” he said simply and then moved on to his customers.
Archer tried his best to not steal glances at her, hoping she wasn’t seriously going to wait for him. He did however, twice. He caught her eyes both times and never snuck a glance at her after.
Archer managed to get a minute to himself, so he decided to think about what the fuck he was supposed to do about this girl. He knew that if he slept with her, only one of two things would happen. Either, his feelings would only grow, or they would disappear completely when his hunger for her was satiated.
Lyra had a likeliness to her, almost a sexual attraction from anyone around her. It was a part of the type or demon she was, so it’s how she grabbed her prey. She also liked to use it to have fun and have a good time. So she danced on and with the girls to a heavy electronic sound. The lights pulsated, reflecting off her white long hair.
Archer noticed her effect on everyone else. They could barely take their eyes off her, himself included. It got so intense that for a few minutes, he didn’t have anything to do. No one was asking for drinks and he just wanted to watch her.
She danced like no one was watching. She was in her own little world. She laughed just because she felt so free. She twirled and dipped and held onto the people she was dancing with.
It was a moment before someone in front of him tried to get his attention. He lifted a finger for him to wait a moment. Then he broke his gaze, one of the few people who did. Then he turned around and made the drink. He turned back to her as he served the drink.
By the time he turned back around, she was gone. The large room when back to the way they were like she was never there.
He blinked and stared at where she had been for a moment. He shook his head as if to get her out of it. Then he went back to making drinks.
