She shook her head. "It's just Russian." She murmured. "We don't have to use it if you don't like it."

"No, I like it. I just thought it might have a hidden meaning," he smiled. "Alexei."
"You want his middle name to be my name?" He smiled softly.
"Of course I do." She smiled back."All done." The doctor pulled away. "You should numb from the waist down."
He kissed her head and nodded. "I love you," he said softly.
"And I love you." She touched his cheek, then rolled her shoulders. "Can you help me lay back down"?
He nodded and pulled away. He carefully moved her back to lay her down.
She laid down with a grunt, sighing."You ready to get this show on the road?" The doctor asked.
Natalia bit her lip, looking at Elian.
"Ready for everything," he said and kissed her hand for reassurance. "We can do this."
"I don't know if i can." Natalia whimpered.
"You're not in this alone, Nat," he said and kissed her hand. "We can do this," he repeated.
She nodded, taking a deep breath.Nurses began to set up everything while the doctor took the blankets of Natalia and helped her prop her legs up, exposing herself to the room.
Elian looked up and watched them a little.
"What if something goes wrong?" She sniffled.
"Nothing will go wrong," he said softly, gently kissing her head.
She nodded, swallowing hard."Okay Natalia I need you to start pushing when you feel the urge too okay? I know it's hard to feel the contractions but we'll help you out".
"Don't let go." She held his hand tightly.
From there, Natalia pushed, straining against the pain for several minutes, repeating that over and over. She cried out a few times and broke out into a sweat.
Natalia gave one last hefty push, and out popped their son. He shrieked and cried and the doctor picked him up, examining him.Natalia collapsed back on the bed breathlessly.
Elian wrapped his arms around her, "perfect, you did great, love," he smiled.
"I did?" She struggled to breathe. "Where is he?"
"They're just wrapping him up in a blanket now," he said softly, looking up before laying her back down onto the bed again.
She nodded and took a few deep breaths because of the adrenaline. "Here's your son." A nurse brought the little dude over, bundled up. "Seven pounds, eight ounces. Born at 2:23pm."
His smiled became a wobbly one. He held his arms out for him. "Alexei," he said as he took him. He leaned forward so Nat could see him.
"Oh my god." Natalia breathed. "Oh my god." She repeated. She started to cry, staring at their son. "He so beautiful." She brushed a finger over his little chubby cheek.
He smiled softly, reaching up to wipe his own eyes. "He's yours... ours," he whispered.
She smiled up at him. "He's us." She whispered to him.
He smiled and kissed her softly. "He is," he whispered.
She kissed him back then pulled away to wipe her face. "Can...can I hold him?"
She nodded and carefully took the baby from him. "Hello Alexei." She whispered down at him, cradling him.
"Do you want to call Rebecca?" Natalia asked tiredly.
He nodded and walked out to call her.
She cradled Alexei, who was now sleeping.
He walked back in after a moment with Rebecca behind him, smiling.
He went to her other side and took her hand.
"Oh my goodness! Look at him." Rebecca gushed at the sight of the baby. "His name is Alexei Elian." Natalia said, smiling at Elian.
Rebecca pouted her bottom lip and hugged Elian. "Congratulations."
Elian grinned and hugged her gently. "He's beautiful," hw whispered.
She smiled and squeezed him lightly. "I'm so proud of you Elian."
