I'm going to try to do this one! I've wanted to read it for a while. I've read a couple books that involve the underworld or Hades/Persephone retelling such as Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan, Abandon by Meg Cabot and A Court of Mist & Fury by Sarah J Maas!

I rated it 3 the first time, and it'll probably get the same this time. Couldn't remember much about it apart from the fact that I wasn't desperate to read the rest. Just finding it a bit dull at the moment.

Chapter 2: (view spoiler)[ Did anyone else get a whiplash from all the time jumps in the first two chapters? I don't get Nikki's timeline so far. So she says she went with Cole because she couldn't bare the pain of losing her mother. It also showed a scene where Nikki was mourning over her mother's grave before she was a couple with Jack. Then it shows a scene with Nikki and Jack together which I'm guessing is after her mother's death and her mourning where she's happy. This makes it sound like she went with Cole even before Nikki was with Jack. Maybe I'm overthinking this... (hide spoiler)]
