(view spoiler)[ WTF I expected so much and got so little, no cross it, I got nothing!!! It was awful. She was a total waste, both on Jack and Coal, and I am glad that they are all going to be kind of away from her. One of the worst needy characters ever. Ughh hated it. (hide spoiler)]

Final thoughts: (view spoiler)[This book was very confusing for me. I never really knew how I felt about the characters and the timeline took me a long time to get into.

I loved the mythology element though. I'm curious to find out what happens next with Cole and Nikki and what happened to Jack.

I never completely understood Nikki's choice to come back. I feel that was very selfish of her and I disliked her for it.

I felt bad for poor Meredith getting sucked into the tunnels. I hope that if Nikki ever does become Queen that she will 'revive' her since she helped her a lot.

Cole is also an enigma for me. I wonder if he truly does love her or if he only wants to be 'King'. (hide spoiler)]

Cole is growing on me. He could be acting differently towards Nikki, but he is still trying to act like a gentleman. Okay so I have some issues.. I need to finish off another 6 books this month, and there's 10 days left of the month. So I'm probably going to have to pass you at some point in order to get them all done. One of them is Eragon, and I've barely started, so that's a real big priority. It's a toughie. I'll let you know when this one becomes my focus. Most likely my next book, so tomorrow.

And now Jack knows about all of it? And he's helping! Thank gosh, I was so pleased he didn't walk. But now he has, because she freaking didn't tell him the whole story! She left it a week before she left before Cole told him she was leaving. What a bitch!
