This is a book that was in a written form. It was published sometime in the 1900's. The cover of the book was a haunted house and the cover was also red and black. This is what I remember about it. The mother had an affair with one of the carnival people, ended up getting pregnant. the child was deformed. She left the child with the carnival people. she then went on to have more children two girls. she told them to never go to the carnival but they snuck out and went any ways with their friends. some of the kids slowly went missing, and ended up dead. the girls got attacked but i dont remember if they died. they went into a haunted house. i think the deformed brother was the one killing/attacking people

Is this a horror as well as mystery book?

I think it might be a horror,but im not sure same thing with if its teens or what not. Thank you for the spoiler alert i figured that it was common knowledge when your looking for a book you would have to have spoilers in order to find it. And that i wouldnt have to put an alert in the title.
