Please verify Becoming Wise: An Inquiry into the Mystery and Art of Living for Religion and Self-Help. Thanks!

Verified for Religion and Self-Help
Enjoy!

The genre can be embedded. This works.

Thanks! I'm glad it works with the Hugo nominations.

Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad it fits in with your other group. That's a challenge sometimes when we're reading books for multiple groups.

I'm checking with the moderator on this one. Would your book fit into any of the other options for this task?

Unfortunately my to-reads that i own aren't in any of the categories for Option A, are not 2016 books and are either not series or are number 1 in series.
I just agree with you that doing this challenge you end up reading a lot of books not on your list or that are mediocre 3* or less books. I thought it would be nice to get to read a few that i want to read :) by doing Option E and F.

Since you joined Goodreads after June 1st, you can read a book on your To Read list as long as you had purchased or received it prior to June 1st.
I've really enjoyed participating in the SRC. I've read a lot of books I wouldn't have picked up that are now on my favorites list. Last season I just hit several books that I was not enjoying. Most of them are highly rated, they just weren't my cup of tea. In the future, I will give books a try, but won't push myself to finish them if I am not enjoying them. I think that was my problem. I wanted to complete the task at all costs.

I'm looking at Worst Contact which caught my eye on the New Books shelf in the library.
Thanks.

I'm looking at [book:Worst Contact|251..."
This works for Option C. It says published 2016 in the description. It would also work for Option A because of the Science Fiction main page genre.

Unfortunately, no. I wanted to use the same book for another task. Unless the childrens MPG drops off the page or it is listed in AR bookfinder, it can't be used for any of the tasks. Books with the children listed as a main page genre can only be used if their rating at AR Bookfinder is high enough or it is approved by a moderator as "Not Really for Children". I anticipate the AR Bookfinder rating being high enough to qualify since all of the other books in the series are, but until it's posted we won't know. I think it was used for tasks before the children's MPG showed up. Now that it has, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to use it by the end of the month.

Laura - Children is now gone from the MPG so you may be able to post quickly and get it in. Unfortunately for me, Adventure is also gone and I needed that for the task I wanted to use it for.

Thank you! I didn't notice. Yay!

We go by what shows on the main page genre at the time of review. Obviously, if the childrens genre shows whenever the genre list is longer, a person is taking her chances by using a childrens book that is not in ARBF, since the list may be longer at the time of review.

The last couple seasons have found me reading a lot of books that aren’t on my “To Read” list in an effort to finish the challenge. This backfired on me when I found myself struggling to finish books that I wasn’t enjoying. This season I decided to take a break and concentrate on reading for enjoyment. Because of this, I’ve been able to re-discover my love of reading.
This is a THREE book task. Choose three different options below and read a book from each option.
Required: Identify which options you chose when you post.
Option A: I’ve mostly been reading books that fit in my favorite genres. Read a book with a main page genre from the following list: Business, Christian, Classics, Fantasy, History or Historical Fiction, Religion, Romance, Science Fiction or Self-Help.
Required: Identify the main page genre.
Option B: I’ve been able to finish some series I had left hanging. For this option, read a book in a series that is not the first book in the series - the series number must be AFTER #1, so a book that is a prequel, 0.5 in a series, would not work. The book must be listed on Goodreads as a series (XYZ Series #).
Option C: There are several books being released this year that I’ve been highly anticipating. For this option, read a book first published in 2016.
Option D: I’ve also been able to re-read some old favorites. With some of these books, I’ve found that my opinion of the book has changed. For this option, read a book that you have read previously and rated three stars or more.
Required: Identify when you originally read the book and how many stars you originally gave it.
Option E: I’ve been able to read some books that have been on my “To Read” list for a while. For this option, read a book from your “To Read” list that was added to your list before June 1, 2016, the start of the Summer 2016 challenge.
Required: Identify when the book was placed on your “To Read” list.
Option F: Since reading is fun for all of us or we wouldn’t be participating in the challenge, read any book of your choice.
