I love how Hagrid takes no crap from the Dursleys.
Hagrid is seriously my favorite. He's so loyal and caring and just awesome.

[Elizabeth]

COMPLETELY AGREE!! His character reminds me of an oxymoron, in the fact that he seems so tough and scary but that's the total opposite of who he really is!

[Elizabeth]

I think you also have to love some of Hagrid's word choice in this chapter... :')

"Harry- yer a wizard!"

Hagrid!! My sweet, gentle giant!

I keep wondering. Why did Dumbledore let Harry live with the Dursleys? Obviously he had a pretty clear idea about what was going on and how they treated him. Why did he let this go on for a decade?

[Brianna]

Dumbledore said he didn't want Harry to be raised in the wizarding world since everyone would know who he is, but as to why he didn't check in to see how bad of an idea that was, I'm not sure.

That's exactly what I mean Brianna. Even though I have read the books, I cannot remember the reason why. (view spoiler)[ I think he was protected in this house, sort of untouchable...But why? (hide spoiler)] Anyway, I am pretty sure it is explained somewhere. I guess we will find out in time.
