Haley | 4 comments I just finished all the divergent books, and let's just say that I'm not okay.

I cried for like, ever...

message 3: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 458 comments I finished all three. Hated the ending of Alligent. I cried for hours after I read it.

mandinmandin (amaah) I haven't read the third book yet! :(

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments I loved the first two books, so much so that I was planning to buy the full set in paperback (I'd only had them in kindle up to that point) including all the additional novellas. Then I read Allegiant. It wasn't just the ending either. The whole thing was such a let down and I honestly found the ending implausible. It seemed forced, rather than an organic conclusion to the trilogy. Very disappointing.

Priya | 16 comments SPOILERSPOILERSPOILERSPOILER!!
For me, Prim wasn't a big character. She was one-dimensional and didn't do much. What annoyed me was that the entire trilogy was pointless-they all started because of Prim, and then she dies.
The second reason I didn't like the ending was how little Katniss had changed. There was zero character growth.

Rachel | 458 comments To Priya: Are u talking about Tris? As far as I'm concerned there was no Prim. Also in every trilogy one of the main charatcers die. In your view it's pointless, but some people were crying over the fact that Tris died.

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments **SPOILERS**

For me, it wasn't the fact that Tris died. It was the way she died. She died when she, Dauntless-trained, for some reason forgot her gun (very convenient). Then she is faced with a guy in a wheelchair and no one else, and she can't even beat him. Even though he is armed, he's in a wheelchair, for crying out loud, so he's not going to be very mobile. It is not impossible for her to disarm him and then what's he going to do to stop her? Not only that, but to this guy she is the be-all end-all of his existence: she is a full, true divergent. She is the last person he should want to shoot to kill. Not to mention that what they're trying to achieve at this point, when I think about its full implications, isn't going to make that huge a difference to anything.

Rachel | 458 comments SPOLIERS:

I agree. After all she was the one that went into the weapons lab instead of Caleb. Going into the weapons lab without being armed ( smart move ) she suspected that she would probably die one way or another ether with the death seem ( survived ) or get shot by a guy in a wheelchair.
