Question for my fellow swappers...

Hi AnneI do not belong to box of books. I also don't order from FIFO except with WL books or if the member is on my Friends List. I get lots of books from the Games swaps.
As a Tour Guide, I get lots of questioms about BOB problems with swappers, so it's not for me. Of course, it's just my opinion.
I don't do Box of Books because I keep my bookshelf very small. But I have been a member of PBS since 2007 and I have found that over the years you accumulate enough credits that you pretty much are only receiving and sending wishlist books. Not to mention that I probably have about 200 books to read! So I really don't want to receive a box of books to add to the surplus. And I keep track of how many books are actually in the FIFO system through my reminder list. If PBS has 10 or more copies of a book, I just donate it to my library's used book sale. What I really appreciate is the opportunity to send out multiple wishlisted books through the book bazaar. That saves lots of money on postage....... I currently have over 40 books that are wishlisted and I am trying to send them out two (or more) at a time. It adds up to huge savings that way. So please support the members who are posting multiple wishlisted books in the book bazaar! It is a great way to get some popular books faster!
Hi TerriI also keep my Bookshelf small but still get requests. I have over 640 TBR books and probably half of them are wish listed. I play in a lot of Games with the wish list books as do most of us on this thread. After three times putting a book in a Game, I then put it on my bookshelf to FIFO. So I also have no need to order more books.
Well... Now I'm even more confused LOL! I understand what the acronym FIFO means...but what does it mean with regards to PBS? I have books listed on my shelf that I no longer want, and when I get a book on my wish list I put it in TBR and "on hold". I have so many books that there have only been a few times that I've actually finished a book I've received and offered it again on PBS. I am slow to read my books, and a lot of books I wish for are knitting/crochet/craft books that I like to keep. I feel like I'm missing out on something or maybe I just don't understand...Anne
First in First out is really how it works anymore though because they introduced the Standard Membership so now if someone has that it ships from closer but I think that messes over people who have been waiting in line so to speak.
Alice,This was posted on their FB page an hour ago:
SUNDAY AM UPDATE: We ran into a snag, but we’re working hard to get the sites up and running again! We apologize for the inconvenience m, and we appreciate your patience!
Sigh...and good morning to you,
Susan
Geez, three days without PBS. Why do they have to keep changing things? At least we’re all getting a chance to catch up on reading!
Thank you for the update, Susan. I was beginning to worry that I was the only one not able to access PBS!
I was just starting sign ups for new game too!! Hopefully we log on tomorrow and all is good again.Alice
Posted this morning on PBS FB page:SwapaCD is back up as of about midnight. One down, two to go! Thanks, everyone, for your patience. We know that this has been superfun for all (not)!
Thanks, Susan! This weekend proved I'm hopelessly addicted to PBS! Can't wait until they get the site back up.

Do any of you participate in box of books?
I read a little about it. It sounds interesting. I only have around 15-20 books in my bookshelf for swapping and they very a lot in genre. Is box of books more for people with tons of books?
I'd like to hear any info/experiences/insight you guys might have!
Thanks!
Anne
