A book came in from the library and I'll read that before finishing the mystery. I hope The Long Cosmos (The Long Earth, #5) by Terry Pratchett is better than the last book in the series.

Mike (mikekeating) So I finished The Alloy of Law (Mistborn, #4) by Brandon Sanderson and the ending was something that I never saw coming. So now I'm starting another series, Simon Green's Secret History. Kind of like the Dresden Files crossed with James Bond.

Oh, at LAST! I read the first two books of James Treadwell's fantasy trilogy (Advent and Anarchy) last year, tried to check out the third one, and sent a politely disgruntled note to the library staff asking why on earth they would have only two books of such a fantastic series in the extensive library co-op system. They very kindly informed me that as soon as Arcadia was published, they would be delighted to add it to the collection.

I grabbed it off the new release shelf, and immediately realized I'd forgotten too much of the previous books. They were spectacular the first time, so I happily re-read them in less than two weeks' time, and now I'm started in Arcadia. It is moving slowly, and it's very weird. I hope very much that it meets the standard he set with the first two!

Going to start reading Rainbow Mars by Larry Niven hoping for some good Sci-Fi.

Mike (mikekeating) I blew through The Man With the Golden Torc (Secret Histories, #1) by Simon R. Green in about a week. Now I'm starting my first read of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) by J.K. Rowling .
