We use the number of the last page of text that is not an advert or a preview, so 492. Have added that, Worldcat agrees.

Page count is missing for Pacific: The Ocean of the Future ISBN 9780008162399. I have a copy and the book (including acknowledgments, notes and index) ends on page 492. The last essay (the epilogue) ends on page 444. I'm not sure which number should be used?
