Yes!!! Forever I pronounced Chaol as Ch-ol only to learn it was pronounced like kale. I pronounced Manon like Man-on only to realize it was Mo-non. I still can't figure out how to say Aroybn.

I thought Dorian's last name was pronounced "Hav-ill-ee-ard" for forever until a month ago when I watched Christine's (polandbananasbooks) interview with her and she pronounced all of the names. I'm with Christine on this though - the world corrects me, but my mind is stuck
My copy of A Court of Thorns and Roses has a pronunciation guide at the end of the book. I didn't need it since most of the names in that book are easy but it sounds like her other series needs one more!

i don't know how to say nehemia
I quit worrying about supposed pronunciations of names a long time ago. I say them like I want to. Chaol like chaos with an 'L,' Fayre like player. I hate the 'ruh' sounding of it.
In the back of the book it tells you how to pronounce the names and city's and such. I know about that for throne of glass but I don't know for ACOTAR
In ACOTAR, my friend and I read it at the same time, and she said that Lucien was pronounced Lusheen and I thought it was Lucien (quite literally). AND NOW IM REALLY CONFUSED!! (But I still think I'm right (; )
I don't think the names are all that hard to say but I'm one of those people that once I've already read a couple books (I've read the first two ToG books) I'm already stuck saying their names the way I've been saying in my head so it's hard to change my ways. When I first read Harry Potter and Percy Jackson I had some hard times pronouncing some of those names

i was pronouncing nehemia wrong. Then i watched a video where someone said it so i pronounced it like them and thought that was right. But then i was watching Sarah J Maas pronounce all there names and realised once again i was pronouncing it wrong.

You can just watch one of her interviews on YouTube with polandbananasBOOKS or Abookutopia and she usually lists the characters says all the names at some point.
That's where i got it from, the way i am now sticking with. I love polandbananasBOOKS
Awkward story- it took me about half a year yi realize celeana is the same name as Selena even tho I was pronouncing then the EXACT SAME WAY

So he should be pronounced like that really :P and that means Rhysand should be Scottish *melts at the accent*
Oh god, I just cannot with polandbananasBOOKS. I'm sorry lol
Ryley wrote: "That's where i got it from, the way i am now sticking with. I love polandbananasBOOKS"Sorry I need to clarify. I meant to say to LISTEN TO SARAH J. MAAS in the interviews, not polandbananasBOOKS. Christine/polandbananasBOOKS has the pronunciation of the names ALL WRONG exept for the names you can't miss like Rowan and Dorian.
Also, @Natalie I see why you just cannot with polandbananasBOOKS, too lol.

Yeah. I know that.
I love her video's but i understand she cannot pronounce any names right. I heard Sarah say it in an interview with her

I love her videos
I love her videos
Christine can't pronounce characters very well lol. I used to watch her videos but I find she's kinda too loud? I don't know, she's just not my cuppa tea but I do find her mispronunciation kinda funny. Julian = Hoolian. What lol.
I literally have no idea how Nehemia is pronouned but I say it like 'Neh-hee-me-ah' so fingers crossed that's right!
I just say it however i feel and then pretend i have been saying it right when someone corrects me
Natalie wrote: "Absolutely, that's the beauty of books. We interpret the characters and names in our own way :)"
that's a good point
that's a good point
I saw someone posted a link of fanart. If you're interested in ACOTAR, you should see my friends fanart. She's so talented! I'm so envious, I wish I could draw lolShe drew Feyre. It's so good, I got it on a mug from Red Bubble.
Anyone got any fave fanartists?

why's that?
why's that?
I feel like booktube has just went down since it all became about publishers sending them free books all the time. Booktube has become incredibly materialistic and I just don't like it as much as I used to anymore.

Too much showing off, free books and why are they all of a sudden becoming writers?
I heard that some get paid to give the books a good review, so they're basically lying to thousands of people.

I like the older Booktube videos and I usually watch other booktubers like Chapterstackss or bookdrunkinlove
