Authors are generally very good at writing and telling their story, but they are not always so good at critically reviewing and editing their work. As a writer, Stefan appreciates the potholes an author can stumble into when producing a book. He was a submissions editor for Writers Exchange E-Publishing, an editor for Double Dragon Publishing, Awe-Struck Publishing, and Solstice Publishing. Drawing on that experience, he provides competitive editing and manuscript proofreading services, with up-front pricing.

I offer Copyediting services to AUTHORS, BLOGGERS and WEBSITE CREATORS. I specialise in non academic works (fiction and non fiction).

This group is designed solely for the goal of helping writers.
Editors and Proofreaders will need to introduce themselves and advise of their experience in their fields. What their field of specialty is. What genre do you have experience in? Please do not say, "My experience is in YA, but, I'm happy to review Suspense. The writer will want someone who is able to review their specific genre with a trained eye to a topic they enjoy reading. Not taking a genre because bills need to be paid.
There is a difference with editing and proofreading. If you are only comfortable with proofreading, only sign on to do that job.
Writers, only sign on to work with an editor or proofreader if you are willing to pay for their services. They, like you are looking to make a living. Protecting their livelihood, listen to what they have to offer. Interview them. Interview multiple people for the assignment. Do NOT pit them against one another. As one rule says, the editor/proofreader keeps their business with you. The same is reversed. No going back and saying, "X offered me this rate, can you do better?"
I am definitely not trying to tell you how to act. This is a professional group. I'd like to keep that integrity.
