The Reluctant Cannibals question

My summer reading goal is to read a book with a protagonist from every decade of life. So, one book with a protagonist 0-9, one book with a protagonist 10-19, one book with a protagonist 20-29... Anyhow, I totally forgot to note how old Augustus was when I read this. I'm guessing early forties, but if anyone has a closer idea, let me know! :)
