I feel like this is a book that is going to stay with me forever. I never read the summary for this book, and I really only owned it because it's very popular. In my mind it was a fluffy, YA love story. But in reality, it is no such thing. Is it a love story? Yes, but in no way is it fluffy.
This book is fantastic. I was thrown off by the fact that it takes place in the 80's. There's so much depth to Eleanor and Park. They feel like real people. They come alive in a way that is magical.
I don't want to give anything away about what the book is about, because I really don't think my words could do it justice. It touched my soul. I want everyone to read it.

This book read like one loong epilogue, it didn't really bring anything new to the series and honestly I really could've lived without it. For the past couple of book I've gotten the feeling that the author is just milking this series for more books to gain more money or something, There wasn't anything particularly bad about the book or writing, but there was no point to the book either, I was just bored throughout. Needless to say, I will not continue on with the series.
I am so very sorry everyone. I have had major unexpected work stress in my life recently. My boss was let go on Thursday leaving me in the office by myself most of the time with extra work that I don't have time for and major extra stress. I have made a decision not to remain in my position and move to working from home. So while eventually this will equal less stress and perhaps more reading, at the moment, due to the stress I am under, I have been unable to read and can't begin to see how I will get a book done for tomorrow. I am looking into The Great Gatsby as it is short to see if it is possible for me to get through this today but this isn't likely.
I am so sorry.
You just have to finish it by midnight on Friday (Central time). I don't know what time zone you're in. If you can't finish it, let me know, and I'll talk to Ezi about using our free pass.

Hey Mandiann, I messaged you.Don't worry about trying to catch up with a book. It's completely understandable that you don't have time. I'm going to use the free pass.
But I'll wait for you to get back to me, just in case you finish The Great Gatsby.

Week 10
Roll: 8
Spot: 77
Series: Shelter Bay #7
Book: Beyond the Sea by JoAnn Ross
No of pages: 412
Date Read: 09/23/16
Rate: 4 stars
JoAnn Ross has enchanted us with the latest installment of her Shelter Bay series, this time as a cross-over with her Castlelough series. Majority of the book takes place in Ireland and The descriptions make you feel as if you are there.. The book features Sedona Sullivan, owner of Take the Cake bakery in Shelter Bay. Fans of the series have been waiting for Sedona’s story for years. The wait is finally over and it was worth it. The hero, Conn Brennan, of the Castlelough Brennans, is a dark, moody, complex man who finds his balance, harmony, and sunshine with Sedona. Their path is not always smooth, but then neither is life. While the ending was anticipated – it is a romance after all, this was a nice addition to the series.

Another meh book for me - I seem to be reading them a lot lately. Don't get me wrong, there wasn't anything I particularly disliked about the book, but I was just bored throughout out. There was a lot of potential in the book left unexplored and hanging and this book is a great example for an underdeveloped plot. The author could have done so much more. I've read a book with only 8 pages, with more depth than this one...
How are your books going?I'm a little behind on where I want to be with my book since I'm listening to it. It's not very long as far as audiobooks are concerned. I just need to find the time to listen to it. I'll probably have it finished today. I have about 4 hours left.
Good morning.I'm going out of town this weekend, but I'll check in to see what I can read. Depending on where we end up I might not get to a book 'til I get home.

A reread for me. I love this book. It has depth of characters with a will built world, explores multiple world theory and is cute and fun.

I was a huge fan of the original three books to this series, and I was very excited when Cass decided to expand it, but change it up a bit. Instead of it being like the Bachelor it would be like the Bachelorette. Very exciting for me. I was thinking there would be a lot of sweet guys, all vying for Eadlyn's attention. A lot of swoony moments.
It didn't really go as planned. I enjoyed the last book in this series so I thought I'd enjoy this one. It's the finale. I thought I knew who Eadlyn was going to pick to marry. I was completely wrong which was fine, the problem was that I think the author made a lot of decisions to try to shock the reader and it didn't really work out in her favor.
I listened to the audiobook, and I liked the narrator, but the story felt very slow to me. There wasn't any real plot. Nothing that came across as a major conflict. Overall, I was hoping for something more out of the final book, but I'm glad I got to read it and finish off this series.

I really enjoy this series....it is just a nice, quick, cozy read. Castaway Cove is just another perfect addition to Shelter Bay. I adored the main characters Mac and Annie. The secondary characters (families and friends) added another layer to an already moving book. JoAnn Ross books are automatic reads for me and once you read one you will want to read them all.

Review:
I was a little hesitant to start this, because I've seen some bad reviews for it. But then I have to remember that I've hated some books that a lot of people have really loved. I have a weakness for werewolves. I don't think I'll ever be tired of them.
This book was unique in that Jessica's situation is unusual. She is the only female werewolf in the world, and she was ten years passed the usual age of changing. At 26 she became a full fledged werewolf, and no one was prepared.
Obviously, there are going to be a lot of problems with that. Her pack is suspicious of her because of a prophecy or myth that surrounds her birth. I don't know if anything will come of that, but I don't see it being buried very far.
It was a fun read, and I do plan on reading the next ones. Hopefully soon.
Looks like Team 12 won! Congrats to them! I'm so glad I got to play with all of you! Hope to play again soon!
And here I was hoping for another week.I've had fun playing wit you too, and hope we'll cross paths again!
