Tanya (bookaholic22) | 176 comments Hi Everyone,

I don't know if I have put this in the right section but I need some blog advice.

I would like some more followers on my blog but I don't know how to keep them interested as I am still new to blogging.

I appreciate it if you could help me because I want to keep my blog alive and running :)

Thanks,

Tanya x

My best advice for gaining readers and followers is to frequent, comment, and follow other blogs. Participate in Feature and Follow fridays, and keep your blog up to date. Remain active.

Kritika (spidersilksnowflakes) I think it helps to do memes like Top Ten Tuesday, Waiting on Wednesday, Stacking the Shelves, etc - a lot of people participate and stop by. I'm also trying to do more discussion posts instead of mostly reviews to keep people interested!
I'm at Snowflakes & Spider Silk

I don't have a blog. I just read. And follow great blogs. And moderate this incredible group! ;-D

Dre (drewolf) | 266 comments Welcome to the blogging community!
- Do return comments, but make sure it's meaningful
- Do reply to comments on your posts
- Interact with them via Twitter or like/comment on Goodreads status and reviews (I, for one, check GR profiles and click the blog links)
- Write proper reviews. I do like reading reviews that are insightful, funny, non-bashing but constructive.
- Join book memes and tags

I hope that helps!
My blog Sporadic Reads

Steph is: Pageturning578 (stephw1991) Hi all!

I had a blog last summer and I put a lot of effort into making my blog / writing reviews but I didn't have any followers and I don't really understand the blogging world / how to get followers…

Stephanie

Tanya (bookaholic22) | 176 comments @Stephanie The best way is to get your blog out there through goodreads, Twitter and facebook. Follow other blogs and comment on their posts. It takes time to gain followers but I hope I helped :)

message 20: by Dale (new)

Dale Ibitz (goodreadscomdale_ibitz) Everyone has good advice. Doing giveaways also generates a lot of traffic. :)

message 21: by Tanya (new)

Tanya (bookaholic22) | 176 comments I have never done a giveaway before... How do I do one?

message 22: by Dale (new)

Dale Ibitz (goodreadscomdale_ibitz) If you offer to read books for review, most times the author will gladly give interviews and couple with giveaways. I use a rafflecopter, and also do an event through GR, and it always generates a lot of traffic. If you put out the word that you're looking to do this, authors will come.
