Marina (sonnenbarke) I've marked this discussion thread with a spoiler alert because the layout changes throughout the book and we don't want to spoil the pleasure of reading to those who haven't finished the book.

I recommend those of you who haven't yet finished reading not to read this thread!

The structure of the book is very peculiar, to say the least. The book comes with lots and lots of footnotes, different fonts for different writers, layouts that sometimes mirror what is happening in the novel at that precise moment in time, while also mirroring the structure of the house itself.

For instance, the layout becomes maze-like and intricated when we come to discover the maze-like nature of the house itself – or rather, of the house within the house. But this is just one example.

- What did you think of the book's structure and layout?
- Does it remind you of any other books?
- Did you enjoy it?
