I listened to this for Week 31: a young adult book. I probably have not read any YA since I was the target audience for YA. And I don't read dystopian, so this was a real jump out of my comfort zone.
I liked this more than I thought I would--there was several laugh-out-loud moments. The plot was crazy and the characters were crazy and I just had fun listening to it.
I didn't think there was much character growth in this book, and I felt like Shann got the short stick in this book. And, over all, I felt like the women weren't that well-developed. Also, there was a stereotypical negative view of Christians in this book--like oh the headmaster hates himself for being gay, how original.
But I did like that it wasn't a typical LGBT novel.
