Regarding "O Alquimista" by Paulo Coelho:These portuguese editions (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...) lack any kind of data that allow identification, I believe that they were created without proper research.
I'm not sure if they were intended to be from Portugal or Brazil, so I don't know if they should be deleted and merge with the most popular edition, or separate and than merge them with the most added portuguese edition?

(The most popular is an English edition.) One of the duplicates has a page count that differs from the most popular Portuguese edition. There is a Portuguese edition with a matching page count.
ETA: The other was changed from a French to a Portuguese edition. Reverted the changes and

(For books that are very popular, only superlibrarians can separate, which might be the case for this book.)

#532 not done, it is the first edition according to the page count. Isbn info added to librarian note (Worldcat mentions a different isbn for the cover; the other isbn seems to be re-used on a different book.) Isbn for first edition is different from second editon isbn.

Can you confirm that isbn is exclusive for the Kindle edition and not used for other ebook distributors/sellers?
Yes, that ISBN is only for the Kindle version. The ePub is 9780996161237 (and listed here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... ) :-)

I would be so happy if you deleted the second one since it is exactly the same book with vast lack of details.
It appears that at one time this https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... had the ISBN for https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3..., and the author removed the ISBN and left a librarian comment about the title. Can it be merged into the edition that now has that ISBN, or must it remain separate? I've not combined, I wasn't sure...
#533,538 #539 there is a logo on the bottom right of the cover of the edition without an isbn. When it is a bookseller logo, they should be merged. When the logo belongs on the book, it should be kept as an alternate cover edition.
Also, both editions need to be separated from the other editions before merging.

that is a photo of cover instead of a jpeg and therefore that is the sticker of turkish ministry of culture indicating that the book is original. you can merge them and delete the one with sticker.

I suspect that this book (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) is a duplicate as the ISBN10 (8176212237) from Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Elegance-Hed...) points to this book (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...)

I know that they have different ISBNs but it was a mistake made by the person who add it, that ISBN belongs to the original edition from which the translation was made.
