Connie N. | 3773 comments Oh, Caroline, I've had days like that. You're just in a bad mood, but no real reason why. Hope it gets better!

Thanks....My oldest is 27 and lives in Michigan. Sophia just turned 18 and she's a pill! My broken ankle has been hard on all of us but she just gets so angry when she doesn't get her way and I'm too old and really tired of it!

Thanks Connie. Don't know why I was so bad tempered yesterday but the littlest thing had me in a rage. My poor husband was scared to open his mouth! Hoping today will be better.

Hormones! The weather! Leftover alcohol in your system! Because you felt like having a day!

I hope today will be better here too. She works 9-3 and then is going to a Florida Georgia Line concert. SO I won't see her much.

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol. You might be right about the leftover alcohol. Never again!! :)

Maybe she did it so you wont feel alone here but:

the daughter!

all the summer holidays went pretty well, first day back at her boarding school and we start to fight.

she wants to go to a party at the firestation somewhere in hicksville-city and sleeping with her friend at her friend's boyfriend's place.

I tell her no, not a good idea since we're supposed to meet with my parents and some old friends midmorning the next day and she's always out for the count after going out and I don't know this guy at all.

And she, no, I'm going to be OK, I won't drink anything, then I won't be tired, blah blah.

Since I don't want to kill her social life and I know her almost-boyfriend will be there too I try to be nice and tell her she can try to get her granddad to get her after this party (because no way she's sleeping there), If he says yes, she can go.

After that she got mad because there's "no sense in going to this party at all" if granddad brings her home afterwards.

Yeah sure. But she won't drink anything.

If she wants to throw tantrums like a 2year old, let's see how often a two year old is allowed to go out at night at all.. I can be bad-mom for a change too, if she wants me to...

Okay :D She just wrote and apologized.

I'm glad, I hate it when we quarrel over the night.

I have an 18 year old daughter and she is the same way - although she does not go to parties - that we know of. She is finished with school. She talks about going to college/university but she's saving money right now and not sure of what she's doing yet.

She got in a big fight with my husband a few days ago and he told her she could not use the car except to go to work and then it ended up in a huge fight and she slept away from home for 2 nights. She said that we did not want her anymore. GEEZ - such drama. I did not hear the fight as it was over the phone and she was upstairs in her room. I can't use the stairs yet.

She's drama all the time and very tiring for someone my age! I was a dumbass for having another baby at 37!

I was a dumbass for having another baby at 37!  sorry, JoAnne, but I really had to laugh!

I can't imagine how hard - and yes, like you said, tiring it has to be if you have such tension most of the time.

I really habe to be very grateful because usually my daughter is a very good kid, we're pretty close and it's not very often that we have a 'real' fight - but I suppose it helps that she's only at home on the weekends and the holidays XD

Wish you luck with your daughter, at least she's keeping you young, no time for getting slow and mellow yet ;)

She's good most of the time. But the drama! Our oldest daughter wasn't a drama queen. But she left home right before her 19th birthday. She's 27 now and lives in another state.

With 'good' I meant mostly 'no drama'

I don't think I could stomach that. I will take this as lesson everytime I think another child 'would be nice'.

She's a Cancer. Drama queens! My mother and my sister are Cancers too.

By good I mean - no drugs or drinking or smoking. She works - she's even working overtime. She doesn't even have a boyfriend right now.

Yesterday she was home during the day. SO I got filled in on all the happenings at her job. I'm not a gossiper and I don't care about things people do. Maybe it's my age. It's been so long since I worked a job outside of the house, I cannot remember how much I paid attention to what the others were doing. Probably not much because I was older than everyone else and had a husband and 2 kids.

She sounds like a good kid, JoAnne! Maybe she just thinks your life needs to be spiced up a bit ;)

OMG!! LOL!

I had to wipe out everything on the computer so now I have to make new passwords because I have a swiss cheese memory and cannot remember the passwords I made the last time this happened.
I found another browser to use when I sign in to Gotta Have Romance as a mod. So I can stay JoAnne on Edge on this laptop and JoAnne on Google Chrome on Frank's computer!

Why does it have to be so hard!!!

message 70: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm not sure I'm comfortable with talking to you, still not convinced you're JoAnne and not MOD.

and why? because today is change-your-password day. you did great! :D

hahaha! (I have not :( I'm horrible with passwords, and since I don't want to use 1234 or my birthdate or someting, when I found one I really can remember I hate changing it.... )
