So happy to hear that. I also finished the alienist a couple of days back. It is absolutely brilliant. Thanks so much for the great choice.

Cheers!

I haven't even started yet. "
S'ok. August's a long way from done :)"
Finished The Girl with all the Gifts. Absolutely loved it. Thanks for the great recommendation. :)

Wow! You finished already. Glad you liked Trainspotting. Absolutely brilliant book. Took me a long time to read that though. Looking forward to your review.
I think my August Pick it book is going to continue into Sept .. thought I had some me-time during the long weekend, and the week after.. but then Murphy strikes.

Hi Vinay,
by yesterday, I finished my challenge :) I should say they both are wonderful reads! Thank you so much for picking them for me! Let me know how yours is going on! :)

Finished one of the books Sita: An Illustrated Retelling of the Ramayana that you picked for me. Currently reading the other one. Thanks a lot for picking these books for me. I am really enjoying them. I hope you too are enjoying the ones I picked for you.

Hey Sangeetha,
Glad to hear you enjoyed them, quite the connoisseur yours truly is (no this is not debatable). On your pick I am running a little behind schedule, 2/3rds of it is done and I am at a very interesting point right now, I find it very difficult to not give into the temptation of pulling an all nighter and finishing it. From what I have read till now I assure you the book is very interesting not a literary gem though but quite gripping nevertheless.
Edit: I finished reading it and can't really make up my mind if I liked it or not. I think I have outgrown these sort of thrillers, it did start off good but I don't think I am particularly crazy of how it progressed.

Here's my list"

Hi Preena,
I finished the hidden oracle 2 days ago. It reminded me of the 90's animated series(one of my favourites) by disney, called Hercules. Thanks for choosing it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

I'm also done with Americanah (actually finished it in the nick of time, yesterday), but I've been so goshdarn busy, I'll take a few days to review it. Well, both this and Trainspotting . I binge-read Americanah. It was my first Adichie, and it was perfectly enjoyable. Again, good choice, Janhavi; thank you! :)
I apologize for having given up The Fallen Empire halfway through...
reason - perhaps I wasn't in the mindset for fantasy, though Brandon Sanderson is one of my favorites. I will surely complete it some day... and then diligently come here and boast :-)
