Yep it was pretty much a day where we all grew closer as a group and we all levelled up each others friendship bars from acquaintances to good friends :) :) :)

It's all good Margaret, I had my Robocop outfit on while talking about moose, maple syrup, English cuisine, and how to properly carve a chicken (that's not a chicken...Aww snap what book is that from? Or at least what series?)

message 1813: by Diana Stormblessed (new)

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 5357 comments I'm going to have to bond another time. It's too much for me to read in one sitting. I got past all Russians have bears and all Canadians have moose in their backyards and then the kids pulled me away. Will take me forever to read it all with all the interruptions lol

Just catching up enough to participate took me an hour, Diana... and I just picked a starting point, since I'd been mostly out of the loop for a week or 2 now...

message 1815: by Deeksha (new)

Deeksha (holy_athena) I woke up, opened Goodreads and was like "Why are so many books named weirdly?" Later realized I was reading comments over here.

And now, what's all with these mooses, horses and BEARS!

I've noticed on GR there's alot of sexual innuendo going around. Like, more than any other place online. And by god ppl will call me sexist, but I didn't expect alot of women to be that open even on the net.

message 1817: by idiffer (last edited Feb 18, 2018 10:15PM) (new)

If people are going to admit to reading "book porn" sexual innuendo is bound to crop up

I've read a couple hundred myself...

Never thought boys would speak lesser though (gossip wise). I had only a couple of guy friends who would speak about politics in their free time (Although we studied politics).

me neither. Keep in mind, my profession we see alot of strange things come into emergency and intensive care. So many of us are black humored etc. and have worked together closely for 10+ years Won't elaborate of course on what we talk about, it wouldn't be appropriate for this forum

Awww thanks, that sounds pretty good, and a happy belated birthday 🎊 I made a Rotkäppchen (Little Red Roding Hood) Cake :) It's also my absolute favourite, it's with Cherrys and Chocolate and Curd, so it isn't all sweet :) And doesn't it look fancy?

I will never undestand cooks. I would have been able to cook smth only with a bottle of wine in me. Now that I don't drink I have to microwave stuff... on a good day. Usually I slap a piece of brotwurst on a piece of bread and call it a sandwich.
PS: i might have messed up the german reference

Send us your pic here.
If its the same I will ask the recipe :)

LAst week I tried making a chiffon cake which supposed to be fluffy like a sponge instead it was something sticky like those japanese sweets I dont know its name. (I almost cried with disappointment).
So I'm never trying those Youtube recipes again :/
Now on I will only try the recipes approved by friends.

Anni | 5066 comments @Beste I'm sorry but my boyfriend took the Cake to his office (His Birthday was on Saturday), actually he intended to bake the cake but had a terrible headache so I send him to bed and made the cake for him. So it's gone now and I have no picture... But it's not the first time I made it and I honestly swear the recipe works and it looks like the cake in the picture 😁 If you believe me I can translate the recipe for you.

@Ahdam I guess you are right, most sausages are made from pork but you could also buy beef sausages 😉 But to be honest I'm not very fond of Sausages... (Literally you know? Before I put my foot in my mouth again, I'm not talking about Moose-petting... 😂)

I would love to Beste but I'm computer retarded (I normally use my tablet when on GoodReads) and the picture thing just confuses me. But my cherry cheesecake is a New York style. Google knows many more recipes than I do because I bought this one at Costco...

I’m hoping you find your group therapy helpful as well.

We were talking about mental illness at work tonight, as the topic came up regarding a family member of mine. We ended up talking about CBD oil and it’s use, that salicylates (mushrooms) are becoming approved for restricted use in Canada as a treatment for malignant mental illness, and ayahuasca clinics in South America that many people go to who have severe PTSD (a fact of life around where I work). It was a very interesting conversation.
