@Chris Sure, next time I'm in Canada I will bring Kraut, Beer and Sausages wearing my best Dindl but only if I am allowed tobpet the Moose!

I got another stereotype... as a German I'm always in time!
Yeah......"
I started keeping my bedside clock XX minutes ahead as a kid for school... I got worse about it over time... to the point that my bedside clock is 43 minutes fast now... my alarm goes off and I basically have 43 minutes to get ready and leave to get to work (or I did before I shifted my alarm 30 minutes to have more Goodreads time)...
It's a stupid system, since my phone alarm runs on real world time... but I can't break the habit...

I've been neglecting my kids long enough now, I should probably go feed them. I'll check back later to see what's up!

I watched the polite standoff... reminded me of an SNL skit... I watched the first minute of the acclimation video... moose country was funny...

I liked mild chicken curry with french fries as a kid... but my parents usually just made it for themselves... another meal item I should really add to my recipe book... especially since I've been buying chicken more this past year...

@Siobhan Yeah, that's right most of the time the trains are on time, but then there's unexpected snowfall in winter (I mean isn't it surprising? Snow? In the middle of winter? Who could have foretold that exept every meteorologist?) and nothing is working :D I think we are spoiled and love to rant about delayed trains 😂
@Chris I will watch them when I get home :)

That sounds like a dirty euphemism...

Chicken is cheaper now that people are eating more drumsticks... It takes less time for the butcher to catch them! Ok im done, my kids need lunch lol.
@Iain Urgh you are right 😂😂 That's not what I meant! I also did the clock-thing but I got so used to it that I automatically subtracted the time... Or I was like 'Oh I have so much time left because of my bonus X minutes, let's do this and this...' and then I was late again 😂
@Siobhan That's interesting I take the train all the time here and there usually on time for me sometime I wish the trains arrive a bit earlier as on my way home I have to wait outside in the cold till the train comes but I guess different trains@Anni No offense but that sounded wrong

On a real note though this is probably the longest I've spent talking on goodreads because I think I started talking on goodreads in the morning and now I'm questioning what am I doing with my life

I'm not watching a 15 minute clip right now... but isn't that the British show that House of Cards with Keven Spacey was based on?...

This seems like an open-ended timeline... you could have started talking this morning... or some long ago morning :D

I saw Capaldi and assumed... I knew Capaldi was in the British show I was talking about...
I've really only seen Capaldi in Torchwood: Children of Earth and Doctor Who...

While it would be cool if he was mr Urquhart but I love him as Malcolm Tucker AKA the Prime ministers enforcer AKA Gorbals Goebbels

My god I was away like an hour...Chris, I watched the videos! 😂 😂 😂
Ahdam, I'm glad trains are on time in Yorkshire! Can you ask them to have a word with the North East lot? XD

You guys, sometimes I think GR has encouraged me to read so much more than I ever did, then sometimes it's my biggest obstacle to reading!! How long have I spent on here today?? 🙈😩
I'm pretty sure around the same time as me and I'm pretty sure we started in the morning but its nice to have friends even though we're somewhere around the globe it's pretty nice to talk to people about random stuff so there's my deep moment
Ahdam wrote: "I'm pretty sure around the same time as me and I'm pretty sure we started in the morning but its nice to have friends even though we're somewhere around the globe it's pretty nice to talk to people..."You're right, I've had fun talking to you guys today. We've definitely been here since this morning Ahdam! I pretty much woke up and checked my phone...

Socialization instead of a good book. It's just cool to be able to get both in the same spot!
True it’s been pretty nice to just talk to my mates hahaha In other news I start training for my new job tomorrow and I don’t know if I should be excited or terrified but hopefully all goes well 😂😂😂

That aside, you guys brightened my workday today and as Ahdam has his deep moment before, here's mine ;) I'm so incredibly happy to joined this group and meet all of you wonderful people 😁
