Oh it's cold... too cold for snow at the moment I think... in the low 20s Fahrenheit every morning... I think it got down to 17 once already...

I watched The Lone Ranger today and it was fun. Watch it if you didn't.
And check out Snatch it is reallyyyyyy good!

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments I enjoyed the lone ranger when I saw it and to be honest I don't think it deserved the reception it got since it was a pretty good film

Need to watch snatch but I enjoy guy Ritchie films he just has this style that looks so appealing especially when he did Sherlock holmes which I enjoyed

I really enjoyed Snatch, Brad Pitt was great in that film, but I had to watch it with sub titles! My favorite Brad Pitt movie would have to be 12 Monkeys though.

Haha yes I've suffered from the "autocorrect disease" myself. I normally go back and edit my comments when I notice these errors though as I hate looking at them 😱

I hate that I usually don't see the error(s) until 5 or 10 minutes after I've already sent/posted my comment.

Yes that happens to me as well, although I'll still edit it anyway. In fact once, when I came across one of my comments that was nearly one year old and saw a mistake in it I still went ahead and edited it 😂

My friend from work is the author and he's just trying to get it out there. Thanks so much for looking at it! :)
I can't wait to read it, wishing I wasn't so fully booked this month! Haha.

Not for long, shelf life is limited and it never tastes the same after the initial uncorking!

Chris (murphy44) | 710 comments Ok so I can't let this slide.... We all need to email spam the network director of Goodreads for something that I just witnessed on their home page that has left my mouth agape!

You know when you hit the home tab at the top and it brings you to the homepage, on the right there's that section that says "Because you read ________, you'll like: insert title here."?

OH THE HORROR, OH THE HUMANITY!!!

This is what I see:
"Because you enjoyed The Well of Ascension(Mistborn #2):

Kristy's Great Idea (The Baby-Sitters Club, #1) by Ann M. Martin "

How much of a nerd rage do you think Brandon Sanderson would go on being compared to, or even in the same sentence as, The Babysitters Club? Like WTF Goodreads? Seriously? Lol

Hailee | 2762 comments Siobhan wrote: "Prosecco can live in a beer fridge right? XD"

Unfortuanely, I'm very fussy with my taste in alcoholic tipples.

Give me a Southern Comfort or Amaretto over wines or beers any day. I would need a freezer for the ice cubes though :-)

Or Baileys, I absolutely love Baileys!

Baby-sitters club!! That is hilarious.

But don't be a reading snob Chris. Give it a go. It might become your new favourite series. Maybe there are more similarities between that and Mistborn than you realise!

Hey did anyone else see that flying pig...

Haha yes I have had some weird recommendations myself. Sometimes the only thing they seemed to have in common is their page count or they had the same colour on their cover. Your recommendation doesn't even have that weak comparison going for it lol.

I don't think so... I read the Babysitters Club books 20 years ago... and the ones where Dawn/Sunny moved away to California... don't judge me... (it would be hilarious if there was someone named Hoid in the books, tho... altho i don't think there was...)

And Hailee...I hope you found your book.

Hailee | 2762 comments Haha very true with an opening line about masturbation demons the jokes can almost write themselves.

Yes I did thanks. It was on my bed with the other two books I dithered over taking to work with me, I must have gotten distracted and set it aside and just taken my new book.

I dug it up:

Because you shelved Shark's Teeth (Marla Mason, #5.5):

Mister Mistress Volume 1 by Rize Shinba

What do you do with a demon incubus feeding off your wet dreams? Fujimaru is your typical pubescent teenage boy - horny and girl-crazed. Like many boys his age, he enjoys spending 'alone time' in the bathroom with erotic magazines, doing... you know. Unlike many boys his age, Fujimaru has a demon incubus, Rei, lurking about his house. Rei wants nothing more than to feed off of Fujimaru's perverted mind.

message 1348: by Anni (new)

Anni | 5066 comments You should read this book Iain, who knows maybe it's your next favorite :D :D

A friend of mine ordered a Neil Gaiman Book and get some M / M Teenage-Cowboy Lovestory because it was labeled with a wrong sticker. Sure, it's not the same as Goodreads recommendations but she was also very surprised opening that package... :D She had a very funny telephone conversation with customer service and get a new version of the book she ordered.
