I feel the same way. I think the only DC movie I've enjoyed was Wonder Woman.

In Justice League the attempt at humor was almost embarrassing. It felt forced to me.

Thor was amazing. I laughed the entire time 😁

Chris (murphy44) | 710 comments DC has always been below Marvel in everything. Their writing just isn't as good which leads to pour characters and airlines that you just don't care about. The only DC line worth anything is Batman. Other than that, I'll just check it out on Showbox!

What do you think the “mystery project” Brandon Sanderson has going on his website (under “current projects”)???

Could it be more Mistborn? Could it be Nightblood? Or maybe he is secretly blowing through Stormlight #4???

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments Just saw it and I'm curious as well it says he's 50% through though I'm not sure if it's correct maybe or something worth asking on Friday if he comes???? 😂😂😊😊😂😂😂

Ahdam (snowlocke) | 2429 comments To be fair I'm excited for his progress report he does every year where he talks of his progress in books I know the next mistborn book will probably be out next year and some other books but I wonder what else he is working on???

message 1161: by Petrik (new)

Petrik (petrikleo) | 1546 comments It definitely wont be Stormlight 4. Sanderson, despite his writing speed, always take break after each book in Stormlight to avoid burnout or writing slump. He said the fourth book will come out in 2020... :/

I heard from my friend that the mystery project is a sci fi book. No idea if it's true or not though

Yea... if Sanderson is working on Stormlight #4, it's purely backburner outlining stuff...

I wonder if this mythical sci-fi mystery book is part of the Cosmere or not...

Chris (murphy44) | 710 comments Me: So, I had to go to the ER today, spent 7 hours there.
You: OMG WHY MURF??? ARE YOU OK?
Me: Because I got bit by a squirrel....
You: Oh... I... Seee? Umm... How did you get bit by a squirrel?
Me: Well, I took my wife to my favorite daytime reading spot where our youngest sleeps in the car and I read for 2 to 3 hours. I told my wife that is really cool because the squirrels climb all over the truck while you're just sitting there. Naturally, she didn't believe me. So when she started getting giddy because they actually did climb on the car, I decided to feed them some of our deluxe mixed nuts that we brought. The little f*cker was too excited and didn't wait for me to drop the nuts and tried to eat my finger! 😲 😠 He got it alright, right down the side of my nail and into the meaty bit of my undernail! Upside? 170 pages of The Well of Ascension read, no rabies shot since they're too small to be carriers (fyi), just antibiotics, YAY!

Nothing's more random than this question: squirrels are too small to get rabies? Aren't bats rabies carriers? Most bats are smaller than squirrels. Weird.

Chris (murphy44) | 710 comments Niki Hawkes wrote: "Nothing's more random than this question: squirrels are too small to get rabies? Aren't bats rabies carriers? Most bats are smaller than squirrels. Weird."

The doctor said they're not natural carriers, they'd have to be bit by another animal to have rabies. Anything that bites a squirrel would probably kill it since they're small. So he said I'm safe because anything smaller than a beaver or a weasel wouldn't naturally have rabies. So said ER doctor.

Ahem.... yes that’s what I’m talking about

FYI Chris I feel for you... when I was a little girl we were skiing in Banff (Alberta Rockies) and parenting being what it was back then my sister and I were outside the motel feeding the deer bread. Ok well she was, I wanted to feed the deer but she wouldn’t share. The deer got mad that I didn’t have any and kicked me in the face.

It’s become one of those stories that people bring up to make fun of me or tell people that I’ve just met

Damn, I betcha that hurt! I've been hand feeding squirrels my whole life in parks. This one just knocked the nut out of my hand and bit my finger instead. And yeah, I know where Banff is, I've been there many times. I used to live in Prince George, so we'd go to Banff for hiking and skiing.

While the First Zara was feeding the deer in Banff...this one has another weird deer story...when I was a kid oh I dunno 5-7 mebbe, baby deer (the little Bambi ones before they lose their spots) used to eat kettle corn right outta my hands...they'd follow me in droves (ok I exaggerate) mebbe two or three bcuz b4 my career as a megalomaniacal supervillain...I was this really wild child (#thehalfsasha) dribbling popcorn from my apron...

They were really shockingly tame + very gentle. Even the big motherly ones during the rare times they came to drinkm...of course I had the instinct to back off. Its (one of) my happiest places...in the forest as a child...with the deer all around me...funny, I'd totally forgotten...gotten so cityfied I hadn't thought of this for years somthank you for reminding ...wouldn't believe it myself now xept there is this grotty wierdly-coloured photo from twentyodd years ago when one of them followed me right to my garden gate and stayed a while.

And @Marg...heh, you face don't look the worse for your adventure...look how it turned out A+ despite the other Za's breadiest efforts...hope she's doing good.

Meanwhile @Anni...I am still reading The Blade Itself...I funked that spit oath :-( by the slimmest...last fifty pages.

We feel for you Chris... I feel like I've reached the age (30+) where every little cut leaves a visible scar now or something... I tore my wrist in a pretty good diagonal line with sharp cardboard at work a few months ago... and it's a full-on permanent visible line now... I broke my upper jaw and lost a front tooth while I want to go horseback riding a few years ago... One might say that's not uncommon when you be pitched over the horse's head. Well, that's true! But I never mounted it. I was walking beside the horse, it slips and fall on me. How likely is it that a horse falls on you? I hit a stone and got kicked while the horse was trying to get back up, but luckily nothing worse happened. And now, at least, I have this unique story to tell :D

Yeah I've got some sort of horse pill that prevents the spread* of infection, but it's not an antibiotic. So I was told that if my finger swells or gets infected, go see your doctor.
I thought about it after and it doesn't make sense. He said it shouldn't be infected because I cleaned it and used Polysporin, but if it is infected, this will prevent spread, but you'll need another type of antibiotic to combat the infection. I was like, "Huh?"...
