But yeah I needn't to sit down and think about it but university has been a bit each on workload this year no pressure but my priorities are being set towards my work in uni 😂😂😂
I enjoyed the fact that you didn’t go into specifics as to why you don’t care for GRRM, you moved along and I think that is classy and provokes thought

Who can argue with that?
@Margret...hi...yeah that line stood out for me too. Like I was sayin'...

Thank you both for the input =].

Ahh, yeah, that I came up with on my own, and I explain why in the intro section.
I have had a few other ideas in the past for a blog name (and actually set them up on wordpress), but that was for a blog more related to my personal life, and I wanted to give at least an idea of what this blog was for (book reviews) in the name.

That's cool Liam I was thinking using my name but I wanted to talk of films and books so something related to that may be good haha

@Ahdam...we like it this way, Bruh!

Also didn't see Thor but I'm really tired of marvel films right now it's all the same style and shit

Hi Abster.
Thor Ragnarok. Moro.
Has Robert Langdon saved the world in 24 hours yet?
I want to see Thor Ragnarok, but I rarely go to the theatres these days...
Christmas shopping has officially begun... Sam's Club had it's pre-pre-Black Friday event today... electronics sale and some other odds and ends... there's another event next Saturday, I think... and then Black Friday... at least we've been so busy I got some approved overtime...

I'm very skeptics like with justice league but can't wait to see it

the local AMC added an IMAX room recently... the big new movie each week gets the room I think, so it's a short opportunity... I should try it sometime... regular 3D usually feels like a waste of money to me

Thanks so much, Petrik! I appreciate it.

I only watched a small number of shippuden before I got tired of naruto but I know the main plot stuff and I would have enjoyed it more if they hadn't had so many filler episodes in the show
Are you watching boruto that spin off tv series I have a friend who loves naruto and say she enjoys this series as well
I haven't watched much anime recently I think I got watching the same thing over and over

Do you guys smoke?

@Iain what does too cheap to smoke mean? :)
@Margret It would be unfair and funny if you smoked :) :)
Non-smoker. I will have a cigar from time to time but thinking on it even that has been a few years out.

I just mean I'm too frugal in my spending to be wasting it on exorbitant cigarette prices... and alcohol has been a few years (what little I ever did of it)... I don't keep alcohol in the house, so the few times it would be nice to have some there is none close at hand, and I'm too lazy to go out and get some...
Same with my coworkers and their energy drink habits... I'm not spending that much... I buy 2 liters of generic soda for 60-90 cents, and throw them away when they go flat because they're cheap, and I feel less need to finish them than I ever did cans... altho these days I drink quite a bit of water as well...
And after years of wasting money buying my lunches off the shelves at work, I've started bringing my own meals in... much cheaper...

I watched my grandmama deteriorate and pass away at 80 from lung disease caused by smoking. It was horrible. So no smoking for me.
My absent father was an alcoholic (my parents split when I was 1 because of it), so I decided at a very early age that anything that could take the place of being there for your family is something I'm going to avoid. I do love plum wine though, in moderation so I'm not a total stiff lol.
Shit just got personal. FBR is my safe place.

Well said Niki. Alchoholism runs rampant in my family on many differing levels so I am glad to say that I am breaking the cycle as well.

My mom had cancer twice before she passed (not lung cancer) and my step-father has emphysema... they were varying levels of alcoholic, as well... this probably had an effect on me... it's easier to see these things in hindsight...

It's awesome that you're breaking through that cycle Niki.

So sorry to hear that Niki and Margret... but to quote Pierce Brown's advice: "Break the chain" and you did.
My Dad’s twin is the worst. He’s in a group home now because he cannot function due to his wernicke korsakoff (brain injury from severe alcoholism). He was clean for probably about 2 years around 17ish years ago, had a couple relapses where my Dad was trying to get him to come live with us so he was away from his old life and living in the country so he could heal. But then my Dad died and my Grandpa died 6 months later and that sent him completely over the edge.
For me I understand now that you can’t “just use force of will” all the time. It’s a real sickness and it’s circumstance heaped on top of that. But if you don’t start, then you don’t have to try to stop. So that is what I’ll be sticking with :)
Good talks here, good to hear people’s stories about breaking the family habits!

So much easier in hindsight. The effects of that kind of stuff can take so many years to surface, so it's easy to go along with it when all your high school buddies are having a go. It's a whole different picture when it's someone you love facing the consequences.

I attribute the cycle break to my sweet mom. If she hadn't had the courage to break away from the relationship and try to raise a baby with zero help, things might have turned out differently for me. My mom is my hero. ^_^ She also had smoked for 20 years or so, but I think being broke because she was a single mom forced that habit away haha. It worked out.

Thanks Petrik :) Luckily I've never felt remorse at his absence. My mom did an amazing job being both the provider and the nurturer. Because of that I never felt like I came from a broken home. Break the chain, indeed (love that).

Also bold choice with the controversial opinion in your opener...that sec..."
Haha it's less about being controversial and more about being honest =]. I'm not looking to force my opinions on anybody, but I'm also not going to pretend I'm somebody that I'm not just to people please, you know? Everybody has different thoughts and opinions, I'd rather just be honest about who I am and why I love books the way that I do, because it's a part of who I am.
