Woo to all the babies! =DAlso, yah, taking breaks as ya need them are good for you. No need to put extra pressure on ourselves for something we do for fun.
Congrats on the baby Anni! And for the grandbaby Tammie! I just went to my cousin's kids' birthday (1 year old twins) Saturday and there were three other expecting people! And then today was my other cousin's baby shower with another 2 expecting moms.. There's something in the water around here, I swear! lol

Hey, I am a bit late but congrats everyone!On that note I have my own announcement to make. I just waited for after the first exam, but I am 14 weeks pregnant myself!
The first three months were tough on my energy levels and mood which hugely contributed to my reading slump... But I am doing better now even if my reading is still nowhere back to usual levels. I just got so used to doom scrolling that now it's so much harder to concentrate on reading and not get distracted... I hope the start of the next year's competition will give me some motivation to push through and get back into my reading habits.

Yay! Congrats! I so feel you on the doomscrolling and energy levels! I noticed a big improvement in the second trimester so here's hoping it gets better! <3
What’s everybody doing this New Year’s Eve? My little boy has a wicked cold so we’re laying low and watching The Lord of the Rings. I’m checking GR during all the boring Sam and Frodo parts. Ha ha.

I made a thread and did like 7 reviews today/yesterday, and it made me do CAPTCHAs IMMEDIATELY... and quickly escalated to multiple images, too...
I did several reviews today, but I did them like 2 at a time with pauses in between. No captchas. 🤞
Happy New Year everyone! We had friends over. But it’s 12:30am so time for them to go lol. I’m 41. This is as late as I want to party. Especially since the foster pup wakes me up at 7am on the dot every morning. But tomorrow night he has a meet and might go to his forever home 🥳I don’t think Goodreads has ever made me do a captcha but I don’t review much so maybe that’s the part they care about.

The way people are stocking up for this Cold Front / Winter Storm in the US, you'd think Covid was back to being taken seriously... trying to shop like a normal person for non-storm related reasons, has been a real hassle the past few days...
It will probably hit ya in the north mid & west harder than here in mid east coast where I am. I read articles about how we'll have a cold run after the hot spree in 2024.

I don't want too many super cold weeks... we already had a pretty cold late november/early december, before a few warm weeks...
It was 51 weeks ago we had the big cold front last year, and I slipped a broke my toe, and didn't have it medically looked at for 3 weeks, and spent 7 weeks on Medical Leave from work, while the bone and then the tendon/ligament healed enough to walk normal and work normal...
Should be more careful this time around. The cold run will happen because we had the heat waves. It's part of climate change and probably will become a regular deal for weather patterns.

Hahahahhah~ Alaska. I need to go there! Last state for me to visit.
That's so cool! I should add that to my bucket list, try to visit every state.If anyone does end up in my neck of the woods I hope y'all'll let me know--I'd love to do lunch at least.
