Where to start?

Hi I started with The Possibility of an Island by chance. But I think

his first books "Whatever" and "Platform" are excellent to takeoff.

I think "Whatever" is rather forgettable and can be skipped or read later to see where his style started at. I would start with "The Elementary Particles" and go chronologically from there.
