⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) When are we looking at reading this?

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments Checking in - I have the book on my kindle so I'm good to start whenever.

Penni | 996 comments Here!

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments Checking in!

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) I've got a lot of buddy reads going this month, so if we could narrow down a day to start this, that would be awesome!

Penni | 996 comments I am pretty open. Got a thought on when you would want to start?

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) I have one BR that started today, two possibly starting tomorrow and one possibly starting on the 12th. I try to read a book a day or so, so I could start this as early as the 4th and have it done before my BR on the 12th.

Heather | 268 comments I'm checking in!

The 4th works for me.

Penni | 996 comments OK - sounds good to me.

Penni | 996 comments Anybody planning on doing audio? Know if it's any good?

Sorry, I'm kinda niche with e-books or DTBs only, so I don't know too much about the audio.

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments I'm listening to the audio :)

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) I started it at 4:00 am this morning, and just finished it. While I normally enjoy a friends-to-lovers trope, I really didn't care for this one. I didn't find it funny, nor did I like the deception. Then the focus became sex and while I'm not a prude, I thought it was a bit too much.

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments Finishing up my current book and then I'll start this one

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments I just started this one as well

Penni | 996 comments Wow - I forgot how fast you guys are lol.

I haven't started yet.

Krissy - curious how you'll find the audio.

My day is fast approaching the end and it doesn't look good for any reading today. But I'll start it as soon as I can.

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments Staring now!!

Well I'm right there with you, Penni! This weekend was busier than expected and I still have to take the kiddos to see fireworks tonight. I'll definitely start tomorrow....maybe tonight depending on how tired I am!

What?! No angsty, I'm damaged.... I love that stuff! Lol I actually love that you wrote that because the last four books I've read were exactly that. :)

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments Okay the opening line made me snicker...

"My dick is fucking awesome."

Heather | 268 comments Haha

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1919 comments I enjoyed it as well. The lie about being engaged didn't bug me and while there were quite a few sex scenes I thought it had enough story to go along with it. I loved that it didn't turn into a big angsty drama as well. I could believe the relationship since they had such a strong friendship between them and it seemed like they had feelings for each other for awhile but were in denial even to themselves and too worried that it would ruin their friendship. While I didn't laugh out loud I did grin a few times and in the end I would say that it was a really fun book and I needed a light carefree entertaining book.

Krissy (krissystewart) | 3693 comments Finished! I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a lot of fun. The narrator did a decent job. I've heard him before though I can't place where right now.

Penni | 996 comments Yea. The opening line was hysterical eye rolling.

Penni | 996 comments OK - I finished it. It was ok - I did enjoy it. It was sweet and a little funny. I wasn't blown away though.

I was glad they were able to get together without too much angst.

That other family was quite the mess.

Elena | 1400 comments Ohh girls I just realized that I totally missed this buddy read! I just read this one this month!

I loved it because of the lack of angst and drama and baggage from the past! Lately I feel like all the authors NEED to have some sort of traumatic experience or some sort of major triangle or major issue come up in their romance novel ... I sometimes miss plain romances where the angst and brooding are absent!
