I've got a lot of buddy reads going this month, so if we could narrow down a day to start this, that would be awesome!
I have one BR that started today, two possibly starting tomorrow and one possibly starting on the 12th. I try to read a book a day or so, so I could start this as early as the 4th and have it done before my BR on the 12th.
Penni wrote: "Anybody planning on doing audio? Know if it's any good?"Sorry, I'm kinda niche with e-books or DTBs only, so I don't know too much about the audio.
I started it at 4:00 am this morning, and just finished it. While I normally enjoy a friends-to-lovers trope, I really didn't care for this one. I didn't find it funny, nor did I like the deception. Then the focus became sex and while I'm not a prude, I thought it was a bit too much.
Wow - I forgot how fast you guys are lol.I haven't started yet.
Krissy - curious how you'll find the audio.
My day is fast approaching the end and it doesn't look good for any reading today. But I'll start it as soon as I can.

Well I'm right there with you, Penni! This weekend was busier than expected and I still have to take the kiddos to see fireworks tonight. I'll definitely start tomorrow....maybe tonight depending on how tired I am!
Karishma wrote: "I thought it was really sweet, nice and thankfully no angst and no broody I have crap in my past and I am damaged stuff."What?! No angsty, I'm damaged.... I love that stuff! Lol I actually love that you wrote that because the last four books I've read were exactly that. :)
I enjoyed it as well. The lie about being engaged didn't bug me and while there were quite a few sex scenes I thought it had enough story to go along with it. I loved that it didn't turn into a big angsty drama as well. I could believe the relationship since they had such a strong friendship between them and it seemed like they had feelings for each other for awhile but were in denial even to themselves and too worried that it would ruin their friendship. While I didn't laugh out loud I did grin a few times and in the end I would say that it was a really fun book and I needed a light carefree entertaining book.
Finished! I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a lot of fun. The narrator did a decent job. I've heard him before though I can't place where right now.
OK - I finished it. It was ok - I did enjoy it. It was sweet and a little funny. I wasn't blown away though.I was glad they were able to get together without too much angst.
That other family was quite the mess.
Ohh girls I just realized that I totally missed this buddy read! I just read this one this month! I loved it because of the lack of angst and drama and baggage from the past! Lately I feel like all the authors NEED to have some sort of traumatic experience or some sort of major triangle or major issue come up in their romance novel ... I sometimes miss plain romances where the angst and brooding are absent!
