Sure! Sounds good to me. Have you read the October Daye series by her? I'm on book 6 and just read Middlegame as well.
If you start October Daye this year and like it, I'll jump on a buddy read for you with book 6. I really want to read it, but have so many other books that I'm not sure when I'll get to it.

Seanan McGuire is one of my favorite UF authors... October Daye only gets better and better... book 8 is the culmination of Arc 1 / Season 1 for the series... book 6 is a real turning point for her relationships, too...
InCryptid is more PNR, but with plenty of plot... 1-2 & 5 are Verity, 3-4 are the brother, 6-8 are the sister Antigony, 9-10 will be the cousins, and book 11 is the one I'm waiting for... the grandma...
Every Heart a Doorway is her Narnia-like series, and I enjoy them...
Middlegame was great... I BR'd it in another group over the summer... so many elements I love mixed in there... and it looks like there's a sequel coming (makes sense once you reach the end, and realize only 7 of the 14 fictional books are referenced in the story)... speaking of the book within the book, it might be releasing as children's books, I think... Seanan McGuire says she basically had to write this fictional series to reference it so much within Middlegame... there's an interview somewhere that talks about how Seanan basically wrote the book in 3 weeks, because it was too complicated to explain to her publishers, so she wrote the first draft to explain her idea...
Seanan also writes zombie horror as Mira Grant: Parasite & Feed... and sometimes mermaid horror: Rolling in the Deep & Into the Drowning Deep

Get on it... you have time, tho... October Daye has at least another decade in it, I think... book 13 came out last year, and we're confirmed through about book 20... she wants to outlast Dresden Files, which is planned for 23 books...

I could read any of the following providing you don't mind waiting until the end of Feb/beginning of March.
Across the Nightingale Floor
The Heart of Myrial
Aurian
The King's Bastard
American Gods
A Darkness Forged in Fire
I'm fine with that. we can do them all, each like a month apart? if we like the series we'll pick a time to continue. any particular one you want to read first?

I own The Emperor's Blades and Mage's Blood and would love to buddy read either or both of them! Let me know what time frame works best for you. :)

I have The Emperor's Blades. I could read that with you and my schedule is completely open as I haven't read in a while. So other than personal picks, I'm free ;-) What works for you?
Elizabeth wrote: "I'm fine with that. we can do them all, each like a month apart? if we like the series we'll pick a time to continue. any particular one you want to read first?"Sounds good to me! I honestly don't mind which one we start with; do you have any preference?

I'd love to read the Inda books with you Bea, if you don't mind waiting until about March to start!

I also have The Emperor's Blades. I am also interested in buddy reading The Queen's Poisoner, Mystic, Smoke & Summons, and Eye of Truth.

I would be interested in A Wizard of Earthsea sometime Bea. It just depends on when... ^^; I have a lot of high fantasy books planned, hehe

Sure, March is fine with me, too! How about March 1st? I'm also ok with any other starting date, though :)

The date doesn't really matter to me, I don't have any reads or BRs planned for 2020 so far. So feel free to suggest a date that suits you! :)
Bea wrote: "The date doesn't really matter to me, I don't have any reads or BRs planned for 2020 so far. So feel free to suggest a date that suits you! :)"hmmmm... maybe sometime in January would work best. Wanna try for next Monday? January 13th? How does that sounds? :D
Wow a lot of picks of my books. I typically have 3 going at once, one kindle, one physical, one audio. I'm okay anytime for Mage's Blood. The only other one I currently have scheduled for audio starts 2/2/20. How do these dates sound for the others? I can change any if needed. Physical:
Across the Nightingale Floor 1/19/20
The Heart of Myrial 2/19/20
Aurian 3/19/20
The King's Bastard 4/19/20
A Darkness Forged in Fire 5/19/20
Mystic 2/7/20
Kindle:
American Gods 1/26/20
The Emperor's Blades 2/26/20
The Queen's Poisoner 3/26/20
Smoke & Summons 4/26/20
Eye of Truth 5/26/20
Audio:
Mage's Blood 3/1/20

Could you change Mystic to Feb. 7th?

I know it flies in the face of Navi's availability, but if you want to read Mage's Blood this week, I'll be reading it... it would be really interesting, to me, to leap frog my way through 3 Moontide BRs back-to-back...
Mage's Blood with Elizabeth... Scarlet Tides with the delayed BR next week... Unholy War with Frank, who stayed true to the original BR schedule from 2019... then I'd just have to wait to read
Ascendant's Rite or push on alone...
EDIT: Just saw the replies on page 100...

No worries... I just noticed the Mage's Blood discussion, after already mentioning my plans to read it this week, over in the Team Jaghut thread..

Iain, I restarted Mage's Blood amd am reading it right now. We can still get the BR points 💪...I'm halfway thru since I pulled a couple all nighters but I guess that wont be a problem....😂😂😂
Thread is in the David Hair folder.
Elizabeth and Navi can read it in April.
@ Bea, Shaitarn, ZaaraLike Zaara said, I was already planning on reading Inda, so I'm in as well. Glad for the company. My March is still wide open, so the 1st works fine.
I would like to join the Inda read as well! Since it’s a physical copy, I’ll fall behind almost immediately, but I at least want to start with you and unlock your spoilers weeks later haha.

No problem, Bea! Do we all want the series or just the first book? (I'm personally happy to do all four.)
I'm looking to start The Stone in the Skull by Elizabeth Bear within the next few days (review obligation... one I'm looking forward to though). Does anyone fancy a Buddy Read?
https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...I have another list to ask people about. These are series I've started but haven't gotten around to finishing. Anyone up for a buddy read of any of these? I'm already planning on doing The Wise Man's Fear and The Great Hunt.

I'd be up for Throne of Jade if you could wait until April.
