I’d be up for Murderbot and Mercy Thompson

Ok
The Stormlight Archive #4 -- most likely named Rhythm of War -- 11/17/20
How could I have forgotten Sanderson... Narilka linked the release date announcement a few days ago...
World's Unbound -- System Apocalypse #6 -- audiobook finally released 2 weeks ago, and I missed it... ebooks are on book 8 now...
Blood of Empire -- Gods of Blood and Powder #3 -- 3/17/20 -- delayed audio release while the narrator recovers from chemo, I think...
The Burning God -- Poppy War #3 -- 11/19/20
The Tyrant Baru Cormorant -- Masquerade #3 -- 6/9/20
The Insider -- Charlie McCabe #2 -- 7/7/20
Alpha Night -- Psy-Changeling: Trinity #4 -- 6/20/20
Harrow the Ninth -- Locked Tomb #2 -- 6/2/20
Peace Talks -- Dresden Files #16 -- 7/14/20 -- THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!
A Killing Frost -- October Daye #14 -- Septemberish
Emerald Blaze -- Hidden Legacy #5 -- 8/25/20
Bloodsick & Companion Pieces: Stories from the Old World and Beyond -- short stories in Old World megaseries -- 1/20/20 -- this is probably happening in the MMM book thread, but all welcome... Kindle Unlimited Read & Listen series...
I think this is the majority of my new releases for now... I also have a pile with no concrete dates, yet... and some others that recently released on ebook/print, but no news on audio date, again...
Last up, I'd like to mention Craig Schaefer, who writes the Charlie McCabe series I mentioned above, and the longrunning Storybook Universe... his Harmony Black and Daniel Faust characters are continuing their stories past the end of the mega-series... Right to the Kill came out in November, and the audio recently came out and I need to read it... and The Locust Job is due out early in the New Year, and I need to read that, too... I know Karishma is a fan, but she's still a couple books behind... any other Craig Schaefer fans?

I'm interested in Stormlight 4; I haven't read the others yet, I had intended on reading them at the start of the new year but I reckon I'll leave it for later so I can read them all in one go and then the new one. I think there'll be a lot of people for that BR anyway.

Probably the beginning. I'll wait and see if anyone else wants to join before setting it up though.

I'm in for The Queen's Bargain when it releases.
Would you be up for a reread of the original trilogy ahead of time? Daughter of the Blood, Heir to the Shadows and Queen of the Darkness.

The Ten Thousand Doors of January
Orconomics
Vita Nostra
Trail of Lightning
Sorcery of Thorns

I'm reading the January book in January in another group, and I think here... Zaara and someone else was talking about it, but it was never requested for a thread...
I'll be up for continuing Sixth World with you, once you're caught up and book 3 releases (no release date yet)... I need to read through everyone's new series invites tomorrow and see what I'm interested in reading...

Hey, I'd be interested in this.
I'm actually in another group (Fantasy Book Club) that has voted this in for February. Great timing.

That works for me.

Alright... Smoke Bitten says 3/17/20 on audible, and that's a week later than other editions, so I dunno if I should schedule for 3/17 or 3/24... depends on other people, I guess... I'm tempted to go 3/24, because I think I'm doing Queen's Bargain on the 17th, since I'm redoing the original trilogy 2/4-3/3... and then there's Veronica Speedwell to schedule, too...
Stars Beyond says 1/21/20 on audible so I'd say 1/28...
Sweep With Me isn't posted, but I doubt it releases same day... especially as their indie series, timing is more of an issue with Innkeeper Chronicles... so no idea on this one...

Is May 7 ok for The girl and the Stars?

Those dates are fine with me. Should we set a tentative date for Sweep with Me?

Let's see if their blog has info...
Let's see if their blog has info...
No info on the blog... I don't particularly want to setup a BR right now, since I'm 99% sure it won't be available until at least March, if not April...
This whole novellas is last minute... they were planning to write it after New Year's, but decided to start early to decompress, after some other blog posts about a local kidnapping at their daughter's college campus... so it's literally being written right now, and probably releasing without the same amount of editing a full book needs... then there's the 2 month turnaround on Audible... you need a month for audio engineering, once you have the narrator available and in the booth, and then the other hurdles in the Audible pipeline, that don't always go smoothly...
I clearly know more than I used to about the whole process, between Ilona Andrews delays, Seanan McGuire delays, indie author blogs like Craig Schaefer (the final Wisdom's Grave book was stuck in Audible limbo for like 8 months)...
You can always do a sooner BR with other interested parties... I think someone already showed interest...

That works :)

I'd like to start on or near the publication date and not wait 2-3 months for the audio if you're up for it Tammie. Otherwise I can read it solo early and come chat with you guys when the audio releases.

I would join for Age of Death, but I have an early copy and will probably read it before release.
