I might. I have been wanting to read that for a while.

If there are people who are into the Avatarverse (the Nickelodeon one and not the James Cameron one) there is this book which was released a few days back and which I'd really like to read and presumably fangirl about?

The Rise of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee

I wanna read it, but probably not next week. I'm gonna be too busy with the books I'm already reading (as are you). :p

If you don't find someone for next week, we can make it our next YA bookclub read soon as I catch up!

Question, is that book a standalone, or a sequel to her other work? An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson I would love to join in as well, but don't know if I can do next week ^^;

The Picture of Dorian Gray,
A Darker Shade of Magic,
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,
Coraline,
and A Monster Calls

Preferably in that order, as I'd like to start The Wee Free Men at the beginning of the month, and wait towards the end of it to start A Monster Calls..

Brilliant! What dates are good for you? I was thinking 7th or 8th for Voyage, and 13th for ADSoM? You can pick any for A Monster Calls and Coraline...in the later half of the month

message 4420: by Aakash (new)

Aakash (procrastinator) | 448 comments Whatever you decide but I would like it if this all completes in August. I have to prepare for exams in September.

message 4421: by Maria (new)

Maria (mariasaleem) | 684 comments Yes, I'm planning on finishing these in August.

Ok, 8th for Voyage, 13th for ADSoM, 22 for Coraline and 28th for A Monster Calls. How does that sound?

My schedule is pretty crap end Aug/start of September, but seeing as I'm preordering it I was just hoping to fit it in! What date would be best for you? :)

message 4429: by Franzi (new)

I tried at the start of the year and gave up through book 2. I think if i's read them a few years ago I would have loved them but I've read so much genuinely amazing YA recently that this series just didn't do it for me.

I finished book 3 a week ago after reading the first 2 in the BR mentionned by Charlie. I am currently reading Clockwork Angel. I'm in the right mood for them so it works ^^ So yeah, if you find someone to BR the first ones I will join for the rest at some point :) (also if you like them hehe)

I'll pre-order it too, but I'm doing it through Book Depository, and they're not really great with delivery, so I don't think I'll get it before early September :( Maybe we can say September 10?

With audiobooks I'm way more flexible to work them into my schedule somewhere, but if possible I would like to finish them all in the next 3 or so months 😅 When would be best for you?
