Actually, excluding the first week of July, I'm free to start whatever date we agree on!

The Sword of Kaigen

Finished this morning. The book of the year especially if you like things such as Inda, An Autumn War, The Poppy War and other semi-dark to dark Asian fantasy. Better than any of the three I listed above and that's high praise.

It's amazing. Please guys, join on this one. You won't regret it. By far the best standalone book I've ever read in my life!

I'm interested but I don't know if I can manage in July...would end of August be too late for you? 'Cause that's when I would certainly have enough time.

My favorite standalone was Children of Time
but he turned that into a series with a mediocre second book. I like CoT a lot more than you did. Although completely different I would have a hard time choosing between the two.
