Silvana wrote: "Precisely would be better :)Thanks, Kathrine!"
Then that's settled :D I'll ask for the thread

When do you want to read Children of Hurin? You should definitely read the Sil first, though, as it gives you a lot more context information.

My schedule is pretty much a work in progress – all I'm sure of is that I'll definitely read the Sil first xD I'll probably read Children of Húrin sometime during the summer months (june–aug) along with Beren and Lúthien, and maaaybe re-read The Hobbit and LOTR during that period too

Just pick it up whenever you want and I'll see if I can read along with you :)
I want to thank you guys for suggesting books like Malice and King's Dragon -- they were incredible! I've been dipping my toe back into fantasy and the water's great!!

I'll send a PM your way when I know for sure when I'll start! :)
@Siobhan @Hailee @Jessica @SaarHow about July 5th for Pax, July 20th for The Warrior Heir and June 15th for Those above?
Those are just rough dates and can easily be changed :)

I only speak for Pax, but that is fine for me :)

As an Indie writer with day-job hard to get readers.
I know, a familiar tale and a boring one for the general reading population.

HI Kathrine, I'm updating my BR threads, but could not find the one for the Fall of Gondolin in the group shelf/Tolkien folder/1st in series folder. Have you asked for it?
Silvana wrote: "HI Kathrine, I'm updating my BR threads, but could not find the one for the Fall of Gondolin in the group shelf/Tolkien folder/1st in series folder. Have you asked for it?"I requested it, but it's still pending, I think. I'll keep an eye out for it!
I'll be reading The Dragonbone Chair with another group in June so thought I'd post it hear in case anyone in this group was interested in buddy reading it (and getting extra buddy read points 😉)I'm also wanting to get to A Crown for Cold Silver and/or rereading A Game of Thrones if anyone is interested in these. I don't have any particular dates in mind for these.
Anybody would like to red Trials of Apollo series by Rick Riordan in May? Starting withThe Hidden Oracle?
Is anyone up for an impromptu Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman read? I'll be starting it in the next few days if anyone wants to join :)
I also want to binge read Strange the Dreamer and Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor this month... Any takers? :)
Great! Is tomorrow or sunday ok for you? I just finished my current read and would be starting right away.

Since I'm reading The Dragonbone Chair with another group I'll have to start it sometime in the first week of June.As for Game of Thrones the only month I can't read it is August but apart from that I have no preferences. If you want to buddy read it you can choose a date that works best for you.
Angela Jr. wrote: "Great! Is tomorrow or sunday ok for you? I just finished my current read and would be starting right away."I would like to start on Wednesday.

👍
I requested a thread for wednesday
Anyone wants to read The Priory of the Orange Tree somewhere this year? My library ordered the book, so not sure on when it will become available.
Hailee wrote: "Saar The Book owl wrote: "@Hailee: I'll look into my BR - schedule and let you know :)"Ok 😁"
I can start with the first one in June. How many time you want between the parts?
Saar The Book owl wrote: "Anyone wants to read The Priory of the Orange Tree somewhere this year? My library ordered the book, so not sure on when it will become available."There's a BR for this right now :)
Not sure if you'll get the book in time though.
Saar The Book owl wrote: "Anyone wants to read The Priory of the Orange Tree somewhere this year? I was planning to read each Game of Thrones book over the course of two months (skipping August) unless you particularly want to try to read one per month?
Does anyone fancy a The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy buddy read? We did the first book in the series in march, so maybe some of you want to continue?
Saar The Book owl wrote: "No, 2 months would be great. That would make it easier :)"Great! Would 20th June be ok to start book 1? I was thinking then we could go onto book 2 at the beginning of September.
Let me know if that fits in with your own buddy reading schedule

I plan on starting with Silmarillion in May and then working my way through Children of Húrin, Beren and Lúthien, The Fall of Gondolin, maybe even try to tackle The History of Middle-Earth (I've got them all on my shelf). I'm also up for a Hobbit/LOTR reread because you really can't read those too many times.
If anyone wants to join in, let me know :D
