Hi Bea, sorry, I forgot I need to finish some award reads in February before the deadline. Is it possible to do the The Black Company on March 23?

Hi Bea, would the 15th May work for you to read Skullsworn with Soo and I?"
Oh, I somehow didn't see your comment, sorry!
Yes, 15th May is ok :)"
Awesome. I'll set up in the next few days.

It should be, but I might be a few days late, depending on when I manage to finish my other March BRs.
The thread is already up, but maybe one of the Mods can change the date?

It's ok, I'll ask for a date change.

A Curse So Dark and Lonely
and
The Hating Game
Anyone interested in buddy reading one or both? I was think in February but I don't mind delaying either to another month if it fits better with other people's schedules.

Great. When do you want to start them?
I can start The Hating Game as soon as you like but I can't start A Curse so Dark and Lonely until after the 15th.

Ok shall we set the start date for this Wednesday then?
And are you good with A Curse So Dark and Lonely for the 15th?
If so I'll request both threads in the morning.

Great 😀. Does the 15th work for you?

Ok, so it's like this. I read what was the worst fantasy novel I had ever read to completion in the middle of last year, and ever since I've had a big falling out with them. I've only read about 2 books since, one was a re-read of one of my faves.
However, I've gotten a lot more into Fantasy and sci-fi Graphic Novels and trades since, and I've had a pretty easy time reading a few of them a week. I figure maybe if I get some people interested in doing buddy reads with them, maybe it'll help me get back into my main passion, text fantasy novels. I got a few titles that I'd love to read with others, but I'm also open for suggestions.
Actually, when i think about it I got a lot that I'm up for reading.
DC:
Superman: Earth One, Volume 1
Batman: Earth One, Volume 1
Batman: Earth One, Volume 1
Injustice: Gods Among Us, Vol. 1
Batman: Eternal, Volume 1
Arkham Manor, Vol. 1
Batman: Hush
Batman: The Dark Prince Charming
Marvel:
The Superior Spider-Man, Volume 1
Got so much from Image that I'd love to read that it isn't funny.
Would love to re-read Saga Saga, Vol. 1
Or Paper Girls, by the same writer Paper Girls, Vol. 1
Revival, Vol. 1: You're Among Friends
East of West, Vol. 1: The Promise
Fatale, Vol. 1: Death Chases Me
Peter Panzerfaust, Vol. 1: The Great Escape
Jupiter's Legacy, Vol. 1
Lazarus, Vol. 1: Family
Satellite Sam, Vol. 1
The Manhattan Projects, Vol. 1: Science. Bad.
The Walking Dead, Vol. 1: Days Gone Bye
Invincible, Vol. 1: Family Matters
Rachel Rising, Volume 1: The Shadow of Death
The Fade Out: Act One
ODY-C, Vol. 1: Off to Far Ithicaa
Bitch Planet, Vol. 1: Extraordinary Machine
Southern Bastards, Vol. 1: Here Was a Man
Rat Queens, Vol. 1: Sass & Sorcery
Kill or be Killed, Vol. 1
Again, totally up for reading something outside of these, but try to keep it to stuff that was made within the last 15 years or so, as I have a hard time going to comics before that time.

I'm not interested in buddy reading any of the titles, but here's a link to the (unofficial) comic book club:

I might be interested in trying to read Saga again. I've only ever done the first volume I believe. It's an odd one, but I've heard so many good things about it.
Rat Queens is absolutely fantastic! Love those comics :)

That's good to hear about saga! As for Rat Queens I think the new run of books can be a hit or miss at times, but the humor and art are still as great as always :)
I'm really excited about that Comic Book link you guys posted. Will definitely keep tabs on that ^_^

Um...I think it was called Shaman's Quest. Anyways I don't wanna delve into the reasons why I hate it. I wrote a review for it if you wanna see my thoughts; but I will say that you'd literally have to pay me to ever so much as consider touching another LitRPG.
Edit: Actually It was Survival Quest

This would be the place, yes! :)
This would be the place, yes! :)

That link can't be right. That's a Tad Williams book, but it's under 1k pages!
Seriously though, always wanted to read a Tad Williams book, but dear god does that 1k page count for his books put be off. I need to be able to finish a book in a week, and it's not often easy for me to read more than 100 pages a day.

That's one reason why I was glad to find it in the library - you're going to release a book of 300 pages but charge as much as you would for one of your novels that are twice the size? No, sorry, that seems like a bit of a rip-off to me.

Here! me! :)

Great! Would Monday 11th by good for you?

It's rather short and I'll listen to the audiobook, so yeah, I should be able to squeze it in any time :)

Really? Because I think of it more of a situation where he actually hired a really fucking good editor, and took his advice on what didn't need to be there.
I'll take a 300-600 well edited fantasy book that makes the most of the of its time over a 800-1,200 page fantasy novel that mostly wastes your time like The Wheel of Time series.

But The Heart of What Was Lost is more like a Novella, it connects both of his series, set in Osten Ard, The Dragonbone Chair-Trilogie and his newer Trilogie starting with The Witchwood Crown, I guess that's why it's shorter and not because of editing...

In any case, I'll ask for this to be set up for 11th.

It's like to read Article 5. When do you want to start?
