I'm easily sold on anything (except if there are zombies, then you would really have to try hard to convince me)

I decided last night that I really want to read
Stalking Jack the Ripper. It will be arriving in the post tomorrow, is anyone available/interested in a buddy read?

Would anyone like to read the Dune, Ender's Game, Hyperion, or Space Odyssey series with me? Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
Dune by Frank Herbert
Hyperion by Dan Simmons
2001 A Space Odyssey by Arthur C Clarke
Depending on the date for Dune, I'm interested, it's been a while since I've been meaning to get to it. But I'm already quite overbooked for the rest of 2018...
I'd be up for Hyperion maybe in the next month or two? I'm reading pretty slowly lately though, so don't worry if you get a better option!

Awesome! Are you interested in reading the whole series? I'd like to finish most of them before January. Does that sound good?

I've been interested in ender's game for a while. Would you be willing to wait until next year?
I just did Chronicles of Narnia last year (for the first time) or I would say I was up for it. Really liked the series.
@Maria I'm up for chronicles of Narnia!@Lillia I'd love to do The Diabolic. I've read Incarnate but I'll happily read book 2 with you when you get to it.

I'm almost done reading Dune, but I would love to join in on the discussion of it if you do a buddy read! It's a book that has a LOT of layers and details and mythology, and I feel like discussing this with others will enhance the experience
anyone wants to buddy read with me
(Black Dagger Brotherhood - starting on the 6th book) or
( Psy-Changeling - starting on the 3rd book) or
?

I could start Dune next year if you would like to read through the whole series! Enders Game I could start whenever as well. Let me know!

Maria wrote: "Anyone wanna read/re-read The Chronicles of Narnia series? :)"I'm between books 5 and 6 right now. Catch up and read the last two with me. :)
Brittany wrote: OMGG! When you wanna start then? Charlie and I are going to read Psy-Changeling not BDB. You can join too in PC.

What day? To add it to my calendar
Circe wrote: "Brittany wrote: OMGG! When you wanna start then? Charlie and I are going to read Psy-Changeling not BDB. You can join too in PC."I could do it sometime in November? I read book 5 back in 2002, so I may need some refreshers from you!
Also, I love psychangeling! Enjoy it.

October is great for me! I'm pretty fully booked all the way until Christmas, constantly reading 3-5 books at any one time so at this point adding another to the list isn't going to make much difference!

Right now I'm just interested in Dune. I'll have to wait to see how I like that before deciding about the rest of the series. Though I probably can't commit to Dune until early 2019. But if you find others that can read it before then, don't feel like you have to wait for me. Books always come back around for new BRs around here. :-)
Dune is great. I could never get into the next book and felt like I wasn't missing anything after talking to friends about it. Dune is definitely worth reading.
I'm new, so I don't know if this is the right way to do this, but I'd like to try a Buddy Read for All the Birds in the Sky (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...). I just downloaded it from the Tor website as part of the ebook of the month series.
Hey guys, i want to challenge myself to read all the books i purchased in 2018 before the end of the year and scheduling buddy reads will make it A TON easier for me to achieve this! Here are the ones i haven't yet scheduled a buddy read for:
Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer
The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee
Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld
Animal Farm by George Orwell
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
and The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
I hope some of you are interested in "forcing" me to achieve my goal :P

I'll read Triffids. When you thinking? My November is looking OK.
I'll also read triffids as well with youAlso I don't mind read Animal Farm maybe this book will finally turn me into a devout socialist who is against this cancerous system known as capitalism run by fat cats
I joke but yeah I'll join you for both Triffids and Animal Farm
