I read this because I loved the movie... so disappointed.

Except the 15th anything will do. :)

Aw. That isn't very encouraging. :(
At least I didn't see the movie so I won't be comparing.
Yeah, thanks for the positivity, Yanique... 😂I haven't seen the movie either, Laura. So we'll be open minded!
How about 5th Oct?
Yes! I was supposed to already have read this, but i had to put the series down for a while. I'd be excited to finally get to it :)

Anyone wat to BR this bucket of russian crazy - Дом, в котором... ? (it's translated to english, just switch to the eng edition)
@Beste: I have The Ruins of Gorlan (Rangers Apprentice #1) by John Flanagan. Wanna BR that one in November?
I would like to read the Gray House, I don't have a copy yet but could hopefully grab one by November. :)
Karishma wrote: "Is anyone interested in the book recommended by Ilona Andrews Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox starting today or tomorrow?"I read Sabriel this year and recommend it, but if you decide to continue on with the series I would be interested in joining you.

Sabriel?
I didn't get you sorry?

I would join for Malloreon too. Read and enjoyed Belgariad a few years back.
@Silvana@Siobhan
Yes, it's
November is fine with me (though if you can fit it in earlier that would be mega awesome).
Oh, and since Karishma brought up Sabriel, I dropped it after several chapters. It's... very depressing.

How about November 5th? Will you ask for a thread?
Anyone up for reading the day of the triffids or 1984 in october?I'd also like to read scythe by neal shusterman, if anyone's interested! I read the intro chapter earlier and i am dying to pick it up, so I'd rather start this one within a week :)
@ Angela, Jr. : I might join 1984 in October too. Depends on my schedule, but I'll try to fit it in. More classic SF books, yay!Speaking of classic SFF books, I've been meaning to read Watership Down, sometime in early November? Anybody interested in joining?
Oct 22nd is great for me for 1984 and I can start Scythe tomorrow since I'm going out straight after work tonight so probably won't get any reading done.

Watership Down is one of my all time favorites. Hope you like it. 😊
Does anyone fancy the 2nd era Mistborn trilogy next year? I was thinking The Alloy of Law in Jan, Shadows of Self in Feb and The Bands of Mourning in March? I was thinking we could start around the 10th of each month.

I'm still reading Alloy of Law from June (... --"), I might join you for Shadows of Self, not sure about Bands of Mourning though since I'm quite slow with Brandon Sanderson...
@Elinor I hope to see you for Shadows! I've realised I'm a much slower reading than I used to be recently too. There's nothing wrong with taking your time and enjoying the story :)
Charlie wrote: "Does anyone fancy the 2nd era Mistborn trilogy next year? I was thinking The Alloy of Law in Jan, Shadows of Self in Feb and The Bands of Mourning in..."I'm down. I've read the first one, but could use a reread.
@Charlie : now the only thing (well except for having finished Alloy but that shouldn't be a problem) is to remember it when the time comes ^^I'm slower than I used to thanks to a very long reading slump plus now I read a lot of books at the same time, wich wasn't the case before, so it's taking me longer to finish every book.

I'm the same, I read 3-4 books at a time now so it takes me ages to finish them. I quite like reading different stories though, I can then pick up what Im in the mood for.

Awesome!!
Hey everyone! I was looking to start with the Powder Mage Series in September (the trilogy, not the novellas). It has been on my TBR for a while and I have been slacking with my fantasy reading so I figured I would start up again with that series. Anyone interested in a buddy read of the series with me?
Does anyone have anything good (or bad) to say about Otherland? I have only read one from Tad Williams (The Dragonbone Chair) and loved it. Just got the first Otherland book at a used book store, and the premise seems neat. Maybe I am just looking for something different from Wheel of Time (I am on a BR spread over almost 3 years for that - started book 7 today). Anyone interested in a BR for Otherland?
Charlie wrote: "Does anyone fancy the 2nd era Mistborn trilogy next year? I was thinking The Alloy of Law in Jan, Shadows of Self in Feb and The Bands of Mourning in..."I might need a reread by then. :)

I'm interested in it but won't be able to read it before 2019, and I already know I will be veryyyyy slow reading it since it's, you know, huge. so I don't think I'm the right buddy to read with ^^
