Yes, I'd like to start it :) I don't have any concrete wishes for a starting date, I would just read along with you guys.

Cool with 5 October for Silmarillion, Bea..."

The 5th October was meant for Return of the King. Could we do the Silmarillion on 15th October? Because reading two Tolkien books at once is a bit much...

Karishma (karishmanewar) | 1617 comments Hi! I would like to join in the lord of the rings books too! But maybe at one book a month?

message 3003: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments You're welcome to join, Karishma :)
Yes, that's what we were planning.

So is everyone ok with:
5th August for Fellowship of the Ring
5th September for The Two Towers
5th October for The Return of the King?

Anyone else?

message 3007: by Bea (new)

Nyxia which Niki recommended to me a while ago is on sale for Kindle today for $1.99 reduced from $9.99, the second book in the trilogy comes out July 17th. Anybody up for a read of book 1 in the first half of August?

message 3025: by Emily (new)

Emily | 306 comments Yanique wrote: "@Emily I’m planning on starting on the next few days. Is that too soon for you?"

It might be. I'm just finishing up a book now and have a BR starting on Tuesday. I can try to read it a bit but it will depend how long it takes me to finish the July 3rd read. :/

@Beste and @Emily I'm planning on starting this book in the next couple of days because I'm really in the mood for it now (When I say soon, I mean it). I'm a mood reader, it's hard for me to plan so far ahead for books, and I try to avoid it. that's why I try to schedule only a few days in advance.

No worries Yanique, I totally get it. I often have trouble as well planning so far ahead. As I said I have a buddy read starting tomorrow so it will depend how quickly i finish that (sorry I can't be more specific). It's one I've been anxiously waiting for so hopefully it's a fast read. See what Beste says and maybe something will work out.

Charlie (charlieridley) | 5750 comments I fancy re-reading An Ember in the Ashes in the next few weeks if anyone's up for it. I read it when it first came out and i'd like to give it another go before I read the sequel since I can barely remember anything about it other than I enjoyed it.

Best time for me in August would be the 17th or later. Hopefully that's not too late, I already have two BRs early August, sorry. Otherwise you can start earlier and I'll join in when I can. :)
