I like how he is always reinventing himself. Each one of his series is so different from the other ones!

I can start this weekend or anytime in the next three weeks I know is good

Great!
I just asked for a new thread.

@Laura I’m available any time this month. Just let me know and I’ll ask for the thread

Anytime is fine with me. Even tomorrow. :) I don't mind as I'll be using this to balance heavier reads.

If I have time for a reread when this rolls around, I might join you.
@Laura. Great. Let’s start tomorrow. I’m finishing my current book tonight

Same here. :)

Yes, definitely! Just recently bought them because i heard so many great things about the author and the six of crows duology in particular. But I've also heard that you should start with the grisha ones, so i decided i might as well do that, just in case :) i found the most beautiful editions and I'm almost afraid of reading them - I don't want to ruin the pretty books lol

Oh, I would love to read them with you! :) I don't if I have the time, but I will try!

I'll join in too :)

I'll probably be on board for this.

There's a beach on the cover, so I'm guessing it'll be a fitting summer read.

I thought something else beat that out.......never mind. :)

I’ve already read them by I’m almost finished with my asoiaf reread so I wouldn’t mind joining.

I'm on as well !

Are you going to be reading the whole Nightrunner series? I'd be up for that!
I think everybody should buddy read The Poppy War and A Man of Shadows. The best two and most original books I've read this year. I'm only halfway through both but they are both so original and awesome and completely different than each other.
Poppy is a YA/Historical Fiction/Grimdark fantasy blend. The oriental culture is really well represented and the themes for a YA book are dark in the vein of Nevernight.
Man of Shadows is a mind fuck sci-fi/fantasy book taking place in the 1950's but the world is like Malazan only in terms of Dark, light and shadow.
I can't wait to see how these turn out.

I'll be done with both in the next few days but you guys should set them up. All year I've been waiting for something that wasn't a re-read or an existing series from last year to be terrific and finally finding not one but two is very gratifying.

I am definitely in for The Poppy War. It is just really expensive on Amazon right now and I wanted to wait a bit before starting.
Yet, it has been praised pretty much by anyone whose opinion tends to match mine (and yes, I tend to be generous with my ratings but I genuinely enjoy most of my reads!).

That's fine with me - I have plenty to read in the meantime. Do you want to do in late fall/early winter or wait until next year?
