I am totally down!
Ok, I imagine that this is gonna fall on completely deaf ears, because as far as I can tell, I'm the only person on this board that actually likes Sword and Sorcery, but would anyone be interested in reading fromany of these series?Brimstone Angels
The City of Ravens
The Parched Sea
Shadowdale
Blackstaff Tower
The Threat from the Sea
Planning to read em all anyways, and I'd love for someone to join me. Again, I expect to get no response besides "Sword and Sorcery sucks major donkey balls." but I'd love to be wrong.
Don't know any of those books MorteTorment ! They are all from the Forgotten Realms "series" (or series of series ? or universe ? thing ?), if I'm not mistaken. Never read one in this series, so I won't be able to join you, however I do not think Sword and Sorcery sucks... not sure I've read a lot from that genre though. Well I'm haven't read a lot in fantasy, period. So I would like to read a beginner friendly along you if you would have one to advise me ^^
@Morte - I'd like to join you for City of Ravens. I don't have any other of the series you mentioned.

Vaelin, there is a BR scheduled for Swarm & Steel on September 25: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...I need to read Grey Bastards soon. Niki was also talking about joining me for that.
Angela wrote: "is anyone up for reading the last two books (brisingr and inheritance) in the inheritance cycle by christopher paolini, starting towards the end of august?"Yes, definately!
Laura wrote: "@Morte - I'd like to join you for City of Ravens. I don't have any other of the series you mentioned."That's great! And yeah, any other Forgotten Realms series you'd like to read?

I have a few of them on my Owned-to-Read shelf. Could you just compare with your list and see whichever you want to read. I'll read them with you. But do you think we could read them one after the other, if it's just the 2 of us? One series full back to back? Or would you prefer a weekly schedule?
Um, I'd prefer a monthly schedule, and here's all the Forgotten Realms books I'm considering.

There are quite a few there that I'd like to read. How about we start with Blackstaff? (I've been wanting to read that series for a very long time) or if not then the series I agreed to read with before. Whatever you decide. I suggest we make a thread in the Hodge Podge folder - "Sword and Sorcery" perhaps and we read book after book over there, without any set schedule; just what we feel like reading from that list you set. Just decide what to read next as soon as we finish one book. Does that sound ok to you?

Great :) i definitely need some motivation to pick up those books... I'll request a thread for the end of august!

Looking forward to it :) I've read the first book, but after the dissapointing movie and the long release of the other books, I waited to read further.
Saar wrote: "Anyone interested in reading the Draconis Memoria - books somewhere in August/ September?"I am Saar! Could start September if that's OK for you?
Okay, I'll ask for a thread for the 3 books:- 1/9: The Waking Fire
- 1/10: The Legion of Flame
- 1/11: The Empire of Ashes

Are the two series linked?
I don't believe they are. I just have this OCD thing about starting one work from an author while I'm on another one.
